Autumn Colors & Pura Vita 100% Vegan Italian Restaurant Opens in LA
Big Hello and welcome to a new week!
Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind with all the things I had to get done. However, I did manage to take a very long and refreshing walk around the neighborhood and college.
I just love the Fall foliage and took a few pics along the way. The color of the leaves looked hand painted against the clear, blue sky yesterday.

I love the fact that I live so close to a lovely suburban college university campus. The plantings, flowers and trees are just gorgeous.
Moving on... I woke up today and had to think "what day is today?" Ugh, then I realized it was Monday - not that I don't love Mondays in general and the start of a new week, but I'm not a huge fan of getting up at 6:30, making breakfast, washing dishes, feeding the fur baby and getting myself moving so quickly. This morning, however, I started, what I hope will be a new routine. Drop off the kids and head to the gym by 8:15 for a morning work-out. I only made it 2 miles on the treadmill but I guess it's still a good way to start off the week. NEW VEGAN ITALIAN RESTAURANT!! I was scrolling through Instagram last night and I saw that there is a new Italian Vegan Restaurant in the Los Angeles area. According to their their Instagram posts and website, "PURA VITA IS THE FIRST100% PLANT-BASED ORGANIC ITALIAN RESTAURANT & WINE BAR IN THE USA." Pretty exciting stuff!!! I immediately texted Tanya to alert her to this and she was on it right away and was actually shocked that she hadn't heard about it before me from her huge vegan foodie community. If you are not already aware - Tanya has been on Instagram for years with her vegan page, "VEGAN FOODGASMS".

In any case, she was THRILLED to know about Pura Vita, which opened in September 2018 AND we both agreed that since Tanya is on the west coast, she will be the Travelin' Cousin to visit and dine here first upon her return from China.
As far as today goes, I should be receiving a few purchases from Amazon that I ordered for the kids for our upcoming Puerto Plata trip. They both needed a few sundresses and bathing suits. I think it's safe to just pack for this trip, considering that the hot weather is over. I think we're going to have fun packing for this trip since it's all about cute beachwear!! Ok - gotta jump on my work for the day and emailing more restaurants which made the Travelin' Cousins VEGAN APPROVED list!!! Have a good one! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo
