The Last Day in November!Holy Smokes Folks! This is the last day in November. December starts tomorrow - YIKERS! Happy Saturday - although I've got to admit that I have had no idea as to what day of the week it's been and it's felt like a Sunday or Monday since Thanksgiving. LOL Obviously I didn't venture out into the danger zone of Black Friday shopping...well actually now that I think about it, I kinda did... Yesterday was Dominic's birthday and one of his requests was that I make him Cannolis and Tiramisu. No problem. Anything for my kids. The only issue was that I didn't have the molds. I had even went to a local Italian market on Monday (before heading up to the Bay Area) but they didn't carry what I needed. So the plan was to hit up another Italian market yesterday - however, they were closed! I thought that just maybe Bed Bath and Beyond would have something that I could use - but NOPE they did not. I offered Dominic that I would make a variation of Cannolis where I would instead make Cannoli Chip and a Cannoli Dip - but I got a HUGE NOOOOOO from the birthday kid and he would prefer to wait for actual Cannolis on Sunday. Meaning that I need to hit up the Italian market today. Dominic really enjoys a quiet day full of food and family. He chose for us to not really do anything special, but would like to go to play paintball after we've returned from our trip tp Williamsburg. (Not this weekend, since Cosette has to work.) I ended up babysitting Aurora yesterday and when I offered Dominic a stop at Hug Life for ice cream that is when he decided that he'd make the trip out. LOL We all had a pleasant and mellow day, but things got pretty behind schedule in my cooking. I was also quite exhausted, but managed to get through it all! Whew!!  Birthday boy and his ice cream!
