The Thanksgiving Weekend
Sooooo how was your Thanksgiving?
Ours was wonderful! Tons and tons of work. Honestly crazy like work and no one to blame but myself for always creating such an insane 21 item Thanksgiving Day menu!
*all things vegan of course!!
Then 14 more even longer hours in the kitchen on Thursday!!! And on top of that - the crazy girl that I am didn't go to sleep until about 3am!
But that also meant that I didn't have to cook on Friday - our Thanksgiving number 2...because seriously by meals end on Thanksgiving - it still doesn't look like even a dent was made in all of the offerings!
I also didn't need to cook on Saturday - our Thanksgiving number 3 - where I began to turn left overs into over stuffed sandwiches!
Plus as usually, you know the food didn't stop there...
On Friday we attempted to avoid the Black Friday crowds, yet still needed to go and return some rented chairs/table. So while we were out and about we decided to bop on into Michaels for a surgical strike, and a couple of other stores that we luckily found not all that busy! Whew!
Then on Saturday, after dropping off the kids to do their warm ups with their choir for the Muzeo Holiday Train Opening, Dave and I had an errand to run which just so happened to be nearby to a few vegan food booths that I was eager to try out. Yes more food! We were pretty successful and got back to the performance with time to spare before the kids got on the risers. Then although the choir had a very small turn out, they sounded absolutely amazing! Such beautiful and strong voices.
Another great day! It was a leisurely morning before we headed out to enjoy some new and delicious brunch items from over at Mead's Green Door.
Catch ya later,
-T
