Hi there! This is the busiest week of the year for me. With out insane Thanksgiving feast and then Dominic's birthday only days later. It is cooking mania for me. So with that is mind, the remainder of the days are pretty much full of shopping mania!! My lists are still not 100% ready, but the show must go on and I am terribly busy today so I will have to take my not quite complete list and start to do my marathon of shopping that comes before the marathon of cooking!! So with all of that being said, I will now share with you our Vegan/Vegetarian Thanksgiving Menu: It's an obscene amount of work for an equally obscene amount of food but it is loved by many and much love goes into all the work that it takes...otherwise I'd never do this and enjoy a nice soup and salad for dinner! I do so hope that whatever your holiday plans may be that they are enjoyed to the fullest and that there is lots of love being shared. See you guys back here tomorrow, -Travelin' Tanya | Hello!! Can you believe it's Thanksgiving week! Wow, it arrived quickly! Part of the annual tradition of giving thanks includes the preparation of feasts all around our country. Whatever your dietary preference, we're pretty sure you'll be cookin' it up in the kitchen during the next few days. Tanya and I have been ramping up with our menus and getting ready to hit the markets and grocery stores within the next few days. As we do each year, we'll be sharing our respective VEGAN menus with you - and that day just happens to be today!! This year, Thanksgiving will only be me and my two girls. Lots of fear this year - My Aunt will not be joining us as she believes she will be safer at home, even though we are all healthy. And we were originally invited to my girlfriend’s house for dessert but were un-invited as they want to keep the number of people in their home to a minimum. Honestly, I think it’s going to be an amazing day - full of wonderful food, board games and Christmas movies!! Our menu has been reworked and parred down since it will only be my little trio - why do so much work? Additionally, we will be making cupcakes for all of my neighbors since they have been so incredibly welcoming and kind to us since we moved onto the block!! Thanksgiving Menu 2020 Main Course Gnocchi with Roasted Butternut Squash Brussel Sprouts with Toasted Pecans Sweet Potatoes with Marshmallows Steamed Broccoli Chestnut Bread Stuffing Dessert Linzer Tarts Chocolate Cupcakes Pecan Pie Clearly, my menu pales in comparison to my dear cousin Tanya, but she's got a lot more mouths to feed!! That's a wrap for today! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
