I'm here at home on this very busy day before Thanksgiving and taking a teeny weeny little break to stop by and say "Hi"!
After lotsa lotsa shopping both yesterday and the day before, I had actually finished up quite early. Or let me rephrase that - I actually was mostly finished quite early.
During Monday's shopping adventure I was rather stressed and very intimidated by the shopping list; but come yesterday there was a strange and eery calmness that I've never experienced during the Thanksgiving shopping.
Now when if comes to the prepping and cooking of this HUGE 24 item menu to feed the 11+ hungry mouths and tummies over a Brunch and Dinner course - that's nooooo big deal!
I'll be in the kitchen starting today and won't finish until we are ready to sit down and eat. With the exception this year of having to take a break and take the kids to their performance at the Queen Mary Tree Lighting / CHILL opening...

The kiddos will be performing and not have much time to enjoy all of the festivities - so the choir has planned a social event after Christmas to go back and let them have fun. If fact speaking of fun times, I may very well have Mika in tow with us tonight and she will just be absolutely delighted with this pre-Thanksgiving excitement to kick off the holiday season.
And since this of course will take a pretty big chunk of time out of my evening, I have opted not to cook dinner for the masses tonight and decided PIZZA it will be - Pizzanista here we come!
SOOOOO MUCH TO DO today, so I'm sorry for such a short posting. I'll be back to post our menu, and lots of pictures from today in tomorrows Daily Scoop.
