BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Touring Olympic ParkHi there and greetings from Seattle! Well I can't believe that it's already Friday and that this trip is coming to an end, but not only that...I can't believe that we leave in 14 days for our Christmastime in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia trip! I left off with you as my little group was on our way out to Olympic National Park for some sightseeing and a couple of short day hikes. It was beautiful day and the weather was a bit crisp. Although I should have, I never even thought to bring along a pair gloves. So as long as my hands were in my pockets I was fine. But with all of my picture taking, you know that I don't keep my hands in my pockets for long. No surprise that my hands got cold. After our brief meandering around the visitors center, we were off to go see Madison Falls... After a short hike to see Madison Falls, we had continued on our way to Lake Crescent... The water was crystal clear and still as looking glass with its mirrored reflection. It was quite lovely. Next up was going to Sol Duc (magical waters in Quillayute). Spotting a buck in the lush woods was almost mystical and I was so glad and lucky to capture a photo before the big guy ran off. Then it was a chilly hike to the Sol Duc Falls. By the time we returned to the car it was time to start heading back to Seattle for our dinner reservations. Of course I had wanted to go on, but we would soon lose daylight and Cosette was battling a slight case of car sickness. And just like everything else in my life, we arrived to the restaurant in the nick of time! After a half day in Seattle today, we are heading back to Portland.
