Well well well everyone. Here I am. The past few days have been quite wacky. I'm gonna pat myself on the back here... The ever so annoying consecutive and not so pleasant experiences that happened to me while up in the Bay Area really just had me laughing. It's all about your attitude and honestly I couldn't do anything but laugh and throw my arms in the air. It seriously was like back to back and over and over again Murphy's Law! And sadly I happen to know a great many people who would not have reacted in the same manner that I did. In fact these people would've taken each of these situations quite seriously and in fact get mad at me for finding the humor in these ridiculous experiences. Sooooo, what were these experiences??? Not to say that the rest of my day went according to plan, but I'd say that the first bit of the crap that was handed to me was just before midnight on Wednesday night - having our car run out of gas on the freeway. Okay no problem, I would just call roadside assistance and we'd be on the move once again.. It took nearly 2 hours to get a tow truck out to us!! When with that little mishap I didn't get to bed until after 3am. Luckily I didn't have to get on the road again until 9am. Nevertheless I still woke up at 7:20am. And on this day the very first thing that took place was a car that I went to go pick up happened to be missing!! Fun stuff. Now how was I gonna get home? I laughed it off and scheduled/booked another car. But still had quite a few stops to make along the way. One of those stops was at a favorite bakery - Timeless Coffee. Of course with all the COVID19 rules you never know what to expect. As I approached the bakery MASK FREE (as I am not one of those who will wear a mask unless it is required) the millennial shopkeeper was freaking out at me insisting that I put a mask on - although I was not yet on their property. I continued to "window shop" without wearing a mask as the angry shopkeeper stared at me through the glass. While normally at this point I wouldn't have even given this business the time of day and certainly not support them... But since this is a favorite (of mine and the kids and I was buying items to bring back to the kids) and since this was not the bakery owner - it was just the Bakery Nazi! Once I was ready to approach the store and place an order the girl couldn't understand me through my mask. So I had pulled my mask slightly away from my mouth - while completely keeping the mask on. My simple action had apparently caused the girl to nearly fall backwards as she jumped as far back away from me as possible. A bit dramatic if I may say so myself. I was quite relieved once this transaction was completed and I could move on. That was my break in the day and had to go grab the truck that I had booked and move on. So you'll never believe that once I arrived to pick up the truck that it was the wrong truck and I was car-less once again. So on and so forth. I finally get a vehicle that I am able to take at around 10pm when I have to start a 6 hour drive to get home and then take Cosette to the airport at 5:45a. Somehow I had dipped into my dragon energy and drove completely full of energy and vigor. It was during this drive that I had witnessed one of the coolest things I had ever seen...A FIREBALL. Wow Wow Wow. Was all I could think or say once I actually deciphered what I was seeing. I could not believe how long, how big and how close this event was! So all in all I'd say that all the weird stuff was worth it and seeing this Fireball was a gift! Well, you could imagine how tired I was yesterday and I only managed a short nap. So going to sleep last night before 10p was super early for me. I think I woke up well rested. Today Elisa and I spent a while on the phone while setting up our new Rumble pages. I was suppose to work on my Thanksgiving list, but I was having storage issues with my laptop - so that was causing delays. I think I have it all fixed now. So I'm off to work on that list and make dinner. I'll catch ya tomorrow, -Travelin' Tanya | Hey Guys and Happy Saturday!! Hope your day has been as sunny as mine!! With Thanksgiving less than a week away, the last few days have been full of shopping, errands and overall planning. Yesterday I managed to get over to Bed, Bath and Beyond to pick up a few decorative items AND Christmas presents for the girls. Each of them asked for rather large gifts this year, so I decided to get a few small items to complement the major gift. I also bought Punkin a new bed, which, since she doesn't know anything about dates - I already gave to her - and she has been snoozing away on ever since I brought it home. Moving along... Tanya and I were busy beavers all weekend - working on videos and getting things going on our new Rumble Channel!!! Right now we are in the process of transferring our videos over from YouTube and we expect to have things up to speed in the next few days!! Here is the Link so you can subscribe! Travelin' Cousins Travel & Vegan Food Adventures We are so excited! Monday, Tanya and I will be sharing our respective Thanksgiving Day menus! Here's to a wonderful weekend!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
