Tanya's Daily Scoop CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: SEDONA, ARIZONA
Good Day Everyone! And a good day it was and a good day it will be! GREETINGS from Sedona.
It's our last day here in the red rock country, so I'm kinda a bit melancholy about that. I do so enjoy it here, and we've had just a marvelous time hiking and exploring around. And I know that we'll be back before too long...just gotta figure out when!
While today will be filled with driving up to Flagstaff and going horseback riding, and hopefully keep warm (high temps in the 40s). Then we'll be heading down to warm Scottsdale where the remainder of our trip will be. We'll check in to our new digs, grab some yummy vegan grub, treat ourselves to tsoynamis (frozen blended ice cream dessert), visit an old friend and finally pick up dear Birdwald Ponypants (Dave B.) who is flying in from Orange County later tonight.
As far as yesterday went, it was a day full of adventure and lots of fun. Me and my gal started the day off with a lovely hike at Bell Rock - which happens to be our very favorite. It combines hiking, climbing exploring and a bit of adventure which is always a blast!
According to Sacred-Destinations.com: Bell Rock is one of four rock formations in Sedona believed by New Age adherents to contain a power vortex. It is said to contain masculine energy, which helps increase spiritual strength, confidence and decisiveness.
After a good time and taking in the magnificent view on this very clear day with brilliant blue skies, we trekked back to the car and started into town, where we would shop and eventually meet up with our tour guide/driver for what was to be an off-roading adventure!
TIME FOR AN OFF-ROADING JEEP ADVENTURE
After all the bouncing around fun and laughter we made our way back into town and realized that they must have put up a Christmas tree early that morning or late the night before!
And next up since there's always a next up was going to Airport Vista and the Airport Mesa for some more great views and gorgeous golden hour lighting.
However although the lighting was just lovely, the temps had dropped and by the time we reached the top pf Airport Mesa Cosette was quite chilly and complaining about her cold hands. So after only a few quick clicks we were on our way back down as the sun set and ready to call it a night.
And now I shall say good bye to you and good bye to Sedona. Until we meet again!
