Greetings to one and all!
And a special HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY shout out to all of the wonderful Mother's out there...you know who you are ;)

Today also happens to be the 2nd Anniversary of our little Reality Travel Blog!

It's been such a blast for us to be able share all of our adventures (both near and far) with you!

And there is only more to come - so don't go anywhere....at least not without us!

Some SCOOP from our Euro Rail Trip!

​Now perhaps I'll fill you in on a bit of more current SCOOP, from yesterday:

I gotta tell you - I somehow managed to keep my mouth shut!
I really didn't say a thing. 

Have you know that I AM very much so an
I told ya so type of person. Yup I am.

But this day wasn't about me. 
I didn't make the plans (aside from assisting in the restaurant options) and I wasn't making the schedule.
I was just along for the ride...and of course the fun!

Well anyone who lives in SoCal or has ever read/saw anything about traffic in the southland, should very well know that you are bound to be faced with it...especially during certain hours of the day.

Therefore in your planning, you NEED to plan around that, unless you enjoy sitting in traffic for hours on end!

So basically what I'm saying is that the 89 mile drive to Palomar Observatory literally took us over 3 freakin' hours!
 
The problem was not only that "the plan" was to leave too late (9a), but even at that - we still left even later! 

And like I shared with you yesterday and many times before, I'm a real stickler for schedules - but this wasn't my schedule.
So I didn't say boo...I'm just typing it all.

At one point even commenting to me
"Don't hurt your tongue"
I wanted to confirm what he meant, so I inquired "why?"
And yup he certainly confirmed "from biting down on it (my tongue) so hard!"
You know I had to smirk. LOL

Anyhow we made it and the important part is that Dave had a wonderful visit. Which he did!

​What I still don't understand is why in all the years that he's lived in Southern California that he's never come for a visit to see this telescope before?!

Following our visit to Palomar Mountain and the Palomar Observatory, already being quite hungry. We drove drove drove some more, further into San Diego, to have a really LATE lunch...

By this time I really had figured that since everything was soooo behind the non-exsistant schedule, that we'd miss out on our Mission Bay Bike Ride. Which bummed me out.

But low and behold - we made it, not quite pedaling for as far as I had hoped, but we did catch a beautiful sunset while we were out there. Only going 5.5 Miles. But that was better than nothing!

Since we weren't quite hungry for dinner yet, we changed the dinner plans and tried out the new vegan FAST FOOD joint Plant Powered for some handhelds and "ice cream" shakes to go, for the ride home. 
The restaurant had a great concept and the food was yummy too. I just wish that they'd open a location that is closer!!! 

Today I'm heading out to the stables (as promised to Cosette), then we'll be having a family Brunch made by Dave C, before heading over to Roger's Gardens, and then to the Spectrum and to Kabuki for dinner with the gang.

Happy Birthday to Us and Special Wishes to all the Moms

Good Day!! Today is such a special day!!

Not only is it Mother's Day, when we celebrate the blessings of Moms everywhere! But, it is also the 2nd Anniversary of our travel blog!!

Yes, it was 2 years ago, on Mother's Day, the exact day - May 11, 2014 - that we launched our website and Daily blog.

Wow, how time flies!!  And what a wonderful time we have had writing about our travel adventures near and far, past and present!  

We are so grateful for all of the support we have had from you, our followers and for the opportunity to share our experiences personal and travel.

Our goal is to bring you so much more in the coming year - new places, information and helpful tips for your enjoyment and entertainment and hopefully, to assist you with your own traveling endeavors.
