Leaving NYC and going on a surprise trip!!
GOOD DAY my lovelies!
Holy Smokes Folks - it's me and I'm on here 2 days in a row. That's a record for the last few weeks of my terribly poor blog behavior and having such a busy life. But I am certainly not one to go around thinking or expressing a "woe is me" attitude. I'm more of the type to jump on the ride of life and enjoy the roller coaster! lol Soooo where in the world is Travelin' Tanya or Tanya San Diego (as I've recently heard).
GREETINGS from NYC.
Yup still in the BIG APPLE, but leaving today for that surprise trip that I've been mentioning. (See below to find out where I'm off to next - and it's not Seattle, I'm still heading there in 3 days) Life is truly a whirlwind and I do get asked all the time "how do you do it?" The simple answer is - I just do. Heading to JFK soon. My bags are all packed and I'm pretty much ready to go on my next adventure... Which if all goes well, you'll hear all about tomorrow. But for now let's chat about yesterday... For starters, I had soooooo much to do. It was crazy how much I was able to take care of on my laptop and phone from my hotel room. Technology is amazing! But nonetheless took up most of my morning. Our breakfast plans were simple and we headed over to City Acres to pick up some delicious smoothies from Juice Brothers. Before heading over there, I had decided that I would cancel our lunch plans and that we would opt to have a sorta picnic instead; So while at City Acres we had also picked up some noms from Beyond Sushi and Vanessa's Dumplings.
Our picnic destination was the public space and gardens at the newly opened Hudson Yards and the plan was to climb to the top of the Vessel.
We got our first glimpse at this sculpture on Sunday night and that is when this said plan had been thought up.
The sculpture's public access had been closed for the night and there was no mention of the tickets that are required - which totally makes sense... The only issue was that it wasn't until after munching away at lunch did we find out about the (free) tickets and by then the first available wasn't until after 6pm - which we didn't have time for.
So instead, we strolled around, found a post office for Dave and then made our way to Yankees Stadium!
We packed into the subway like a bunch of sardines and were on our way.
Arriving at Yankees stadium in the nick of time for the Yankees/Mariners game. And what an exciting game it was!
Home run after home run and play after play. This was not a boring game! And of course I was a happy camper about the 7-3 turn out since my boys won the first place Seattle Mariners.
And now what you've been waiting for...
We are heading to Miami!
It's an early birthday surprise celebration for Dave AKA Birdwald Ponypants. And tonight we will be going to the Greta Van Fleet concert. Woo to the Hoo its gonna be a good time! So on that note, I've gotta be heading out to catch my flight. Toodles poodles, -Travelin' Tanya |
