Depends on the weather!
I'm having a lovely fairly kickback weekend so far. By no means does that mean we haven't had our fair share of running around town, but somehow it has all felt rather relaxed.
As planned we took Dominic to his morning classes, went to grab some chow at Green Bliss, where I must say that my favorite Acai Bowl just didn't taste as awesome as it usually does...hmm I sure hope it was only a fluke!
Breakfast at Green Bliss
Then once we got back home, it was time to clean up and get ready for the kids performance with the International Peace Choir for Make-a-Wish Foundation and their "Wish" Night at the zoo.
While the kids were still getting into their costumes we got a message that the call time had be adjusted and we had a bit more down time before getting back on the road. Dave and Dominic took full advantage of this news and while I was busy working on a few projects, both of them were sitting on the couch next to me snoring away! I should've taken a picture. Darn.
Anyhow off we went to the zoo! It was one of those days where if you are in the sun it's waaaay too hot and if you are in the shade you start to feel chilly! I still opted for the shade. I'm no fan of feeling HOT. Ugh!
The kids had a very nice performance that was highly enjoyed and welcomed by all.
Dominic and Cosette strutted their Italian stuffdancing and leading the way at the Tarantella, and the group sang a number of songs, including my favorite 'Why We Sing'.
WHY WE SING A sound of hope, a sound of peace, a sound that celebrates and speaks what we believe. A sound of love, a sound so strong, it’s amazing what is given when we share a song ... This is why we sing, why we lift our voice, why we stand as one in harmony! This is why we sing, why we lift our voice, take my hand and sing with me! Sooth a soal, mend a heart, bring together lives that have been torn apart. Share the joy, find a friend, it’s a never – ending gift that circles back again. This is why we sing, why we lift our voice, why we stand as one in harmony! This is why we sing, why we lift our voice, take my hand and sing with me! Music builds a bridge, it can tear down a wall! Music is a language, that can speak to one and all! This is why we sing, why we lift our voice, why we stand as one in harmony! This is why we sing, why we lift our voice, take my hand and sing with me! This is why we sing, we sing, WE SING!
I just LOVE this song! And with lyrics like that can you blame me! It really just touches you (me) deep down in your soul when you hear this group of children belting this one out. Wow! Gives me chills just thinking about it!
After the performance, we headed to a favorite for dinner and once we pulled into the parking lot guess who we ran into??? Jet, Andrew, and Chaplin! They had just finished having dinner at Mitasie (where we were heading).
We chuckled about running into each other... This use to be a given - almost every time we would go out we would run into each other - it was uncanny! It doesn't happen all that much these days, so it was surprising to see them yesterday. (Not that I don't see them every day anyhow - we live together!) We enjoyed dinner and then came home, Dave was in a food coma and guess what... He fell right asleep! lol
As far as today goes we are tossing around a few ideas - tennis, bike riding, rock climbing, and then a movie. It must be a biking and movie kinda day - on both coasts - Elisa and her gang might go for a ride and they are going to the movies today too!
We'll see how it goes, and if it is too hot then you can count me out of baking in the sun! I'll let you know tomorrow!!
I'll also fill you in on my extreme excitement regarding the development of a newly added to the calendar 2016 trip!
Hope that you are having a fun filled weekend, or a kick back weekend. Whichever YOU prefer, because you are important too!
Catch ya back here tomorrow, -T

Howdy!! Do anything fun so far this weekend?
Well, I had a lovely day yesterday and hoping to have another today!
Spent the whole day out in Remsenburg and West Hampton. The weather was absolutely glorious. Sunshine and a light breeze - my kinda day!
A little Häagen-Dazs in West Hampton
Yesterday was a really wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable day!!
I spent the morning hanging out with my friend Lisa, who's daughter Sarah rides at the barn with Gianna and Kelsey. Lisa and I have grown very close over the past few years and we have made a habit of going for breakfast, shooting the breeze and having girl conversation while the kids are at horseback riding on Saturday mornings.
After horseback riding ended at noon, I headed back to our Remsenburg house for the balance of the afternoon. Relaxing in the sun was first on my agenda for a few hours. I can't tell you how lovely the cool crisp sea air felt in combination with the heat of the rays of the sun.
We took a fun family bike ride later in the afternoon, around the neighborhood and paid a visit to one of our neighbor's to say hello to their two horses.
This bicycle ride was even more special than others in the past, since Kelsey was riding a two-wheeler for the first time.
Tedd taught her to ride last week and she got the hang of it immediately!!! Kelsey was riding like a pro, full of confidence and all smiles.
On the way back from our ride, we stopped next door to introduce ourselves and welcome our new Rembsenburg neighbors. We have been so blessed with the nicest neighbors through the years!! Welcome to the neighborhood, Bill and Robin!!
A quick pitstop at our other house in Remsenburg (which, you may remember, is currently up for sale) and we headed into the town of West Hampton Beach for dinner at Margarita Grill. CLICK HERE for my review last summer.

We topped off the evening with a visit to Häagen-Dazswhere I indulged in a small cup of mango sorbet. It was a perfect complement to my crispy chicken tacos with mango salsa at Margarita Grill!
I arrived back home in Nassau County around 9pm and have to tell you, I was bushed!! We all fell asleep pretty fast from a busy day.
Today, was not supposed to be the picture perfect day that yesterday was, BUT ALAS, I woke up to sunshine!!! Going to spend some time outside in my garden and maybe a bicycle ride.
The girls have the last of their book reviews to complete today and then we will head out to the movies later this afternoon to see Tomorrowland. Lots coming your way this week! Exciting Travelin' Tuesday from both me and Tanya, I have a fun W2GW feature, Tanya will take us back for Throwback Thursday and I'll be featuring Azalea Restaurant in NYC on Foodie Friday.
