Getting back to the day at hand, I've been a busy little beaver all morning writing. Lots of articles in the works for you! We've also got a few cool articles coming from Guest Bloggers in the coming weeks, as well. Stay tuned. With the gorgeous weather, I've been getting back to my daily 3-4 mile walks. Yesterday was no exception and I managed to get my Kelsey girl to join me. She actually loves going for walks. We did a full circle around our neighborhood of Garden City, which included one of my favorite walking destinations, Adelphi University, with its gorgeous trees and flowers!!
I'll be traversing through the campus again in a little while.
And speaking of the outdoors, with Summer right around the corner, many nature lovers will be planning camping trips. I stumbled upon this super informative article from Your AAA Daily: Northeast Camping Guide: Best Camping and Hiking in New England and New York
Your's truly here, is not a big camper, unlike my dear cousin, Tanya. But, what I do appreciate and like is a visit to many of the places detailed within this article - not necessarily to camp outside, but to wander around during the day and stay in a nearby hotel.
One place that totally caught my eye in the article was Watkins Glen State Park. According to the article, "Considered the most famous of the Finger Lakes state parks, this spot offers 305 campsites with restrooms, showers, dumping stations and firewood for sale. It also offers concession stands, a gift shop, picnic tables and grills, playing fields, an Olympic sized swimming pool, kiddie pool, playgrounds and 19 waterfalls." Wow!! And right here in my own state of New York! What I loved about this this article was their visual camping survival tip list. Check it out: and Read more... Well, I'm off to walk outside in the glorious sunshine!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
