Happy Saturday & Greetings from the good 'ol 91 freeway and SoCal weekend traffic.
Traffic just sucks. Doesn't matter what day or what time or where I have to be. It SUCKS!
Anyhow, we are heading to the kids performance which happens to be out in Torrance and close to an hours drive. Then it'll be back to Anaheim Hills to drop off the kiddos - because they just aren't feelin' going to an art museum. Whateves.
I'm not fighting it. And they know better than to ever suggest not going to a museum or anything else when we are on vacation.
So when we are at home - well it's kinda like they are the ones one vacation and not running around all over the place (although they sure do have a lot of chores to do).
But as for me - it pretty much doesn't matter where I am - you'll find me running around. Although there is one exception...put me in a Hammock and I don't mind staying put for a while.

It sure is HOT in the Southland this weekend. Whew!
I had a nice visit with friend yesterday that I hadn't seen in a couple of years.
Crazy how fast time can fly. While we were sitting outside of Jamba Juice shooting the breeze and catching up (or at least trying to), all of a sudden it was like someone turned up the heat!!! Ugh Summer was saying hello.
And can you believe that I forgot to take a picture?!
Next time. And we are both hoping that next time in only in a few weeks - we still have so much to catch up on!!
The rest of yesterday was fairly uneventful - I tried to stay cool. I went to the gym. Chatted with friends and had to do laundry. Boy oh boy did I have to do laundry.
Good thing we own so much clothes because I honestly have no clue when the last time I did laundry was!!! Scary!
Funny thing is that anytime I have household chores to do it always reminds me of what this one big shot guy I had dated (who btw happened to be a bit older than me) said when he heard that I had some chores to do "How Domestic..." Yea well...
Alrighty folks, that's it for me.
Catch ya back here tomorrow, -T

Planning for Memorial Day Weekend
Hello and Happy Saturday!
Not as sunny and summery as it's been the past few days here on Long Island, but the temps have leveled off a bit and it's not as hot. Not that I'm complaining by any means!
Today is a day of errands. First, I had an unexpected one as I rushed so fast yesterday out of the hair salon with Gianna to get her to her pre-party, that I left my laptop there! So, I had to run back there first thing this morning to collect it.
Then, Kelsey and I hit the supermarket to load up the cabinets and fridge for the upcoming week with Grandma and Grandpa, while I'm in Las Vegas.
In actuality, it's only 3 days, but, I don't want them to have to be bogged down with minutia.
Anyway, I rewarded me and Kelsey with some pampering and I got a manicure and she enjoyed a pedicure and 15 minute back massage. This kid has the life for a 10 year old!! She better have a great career to afford all the luxuries that Mom has exposed her to.
I cannot believe that May has moved along so quickly! Next week is Memorial Day weekend.
As of right now, I don't have any plans. I'll be getting back from Las Vegas on Thursday night and the girls actually have off for Thursday, Friday and then Monday. I need to give some thought as to what we can do.
Here are a few things I have on my short list:
1. Brunch in NYC I was thinking maybe the three of us gals can take the train into Manhattan, have a nice brunch and then walk around Times Square and some of the stores.
Of the 10 places mentioned, this one caught my eye and it will be our destination!
"Bryant Park Grill, known as ‘the jewel’ of Bryant Park, is a little piece of Paris in the heart of New York. The restaurant, complete with a rooftop bar and a beautiful ‘stroll through the garden’ air, is the perfect spot for a romantic weekend brunch date. On Saturday and Sunday, catch Bryant Park Grill’s deliciously diverse brunch menu. From sweet pancakes and French toast to eggs of every option, Bryant Park Grill will satisfy the empty spot in your stomach."
What convinced me was "a little piece of Paris"! 2. Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach
This is going to be a must-do. I was thinking about heading down to Jones Beach for the show on either Saturday or Sunday - depending on which is the best weather day.
The last time we attended the Air Show was in 2014.

This year marks the 14th year for this annual event. In years past, as many as 200,000 people have filled the beach, therefore, it is always wise to arrive very early (before 10am). When the parking lots fill up, the parkways are then closed, so we will plan a very early departure!
3. Barbecue I think I'm going to have to convince my sissy or my parents to have a barbecue. lol I'm not much of a griller myself, but with a crowd, I'm sure we can get it going on!!
My sister and i have been known to grill up some great pizzas!! Going to chat with the fam this evening when I go over my parents' house for dinner.
Well, my dear peeps - that's it for your's truly today.
