Although I've been typing in the date everyday since January 1st - I think it finally just hit me that it is already mid May!!!
WOW. We are already almost half way through 2017.
I suppose I can attest to the saying that time flies when you are having fun!!
These photos are just a quick glimpse of the fun that we've had so far just this year...
January - Lake Tahoe
February - Checking out Innsbruck
March - Venice for Carnival!
April - Afternoon Tea in London with the Cousins
May - Aloha from Hawaii
As we all know, life is not just fun and games, but why not make the choice to be happy and enjoy yourself no matter what you are doing?! Don't you agree?
Well today happens to be TBT (Throwback Thursday) and throughout the 3 years that Travelin' Cousins has been published, we have been posting plenty of Throwback stories, so I thought that I would share a few with you - just in case you've missed them: Mis-Adventures in Barcelona
Looking back and re-reading these stories really makes me chuckle!
And btw - YUP I am still Lipstick CRAZED!!
I was so excited about getting my hands on this discontinued PINK color (that happens to match my nails oh so well). I was really hoping to have it in time for our trip to Hawaii, but in the end I had to wear other colors on that trip that I'm also totally in love with.
Ya know in fact I haven't met a color from this company that I don't like - they are all pretty awesome!!
Just yesterday after getting home from the gym I had finally carved out some time to share trip pics with my mom - so before I showered and before I got busy all over again, we sat down and looked at some pictures from our Winter Wonderland Tour that took place this past Feb-Mar. What a great time I had!! I may have to inquire with the kids about how they felt about this trip.
The only reason that I mention this is because just last night while discussing our coming Spring 2018 Germany/Poland/Austria/Czech Trip with Dave B. did he inform me that anything over 3 weeks is just too long for him and that our Winter Wonderland Tour (which was close to a month) was way too long!! While I don't know the meaning of this - apparently some of these peeps don't like being away from home for more than 2 weeks. What is it with Americans and the 2 week vacation?
Granted that we are not in any means close to your ordinary Americans when it comes to traveling (or pretty much anything else).
So I after looking at a skeleton itinerary I have agreed to keep the trip with around 16 days. Fingers crossed I can do this and make everyone happy.
I'm sure that I'll be fine with 16ish days, especially considering that I'll already had gone to Europe for a couple of weeks in March (the Rome and Ireland Trip) and then will be heading to Croatia with Elisa - which will all be before July 4th - and we all know that there will be plenty more travels for 2018 - including going back to Hawaii!!
