Mother's Day RecapHi everyone and Happy Monday! Wow, I just cannot believe that I've only been home since yesterday morning. Feels as though I've definitely been home for at least a couple of days. Maybe it's just how much I have been productive since returning back to the home-front. My Mother's Day was both hectic, mellow and relaxing. Obviously I landed back at SNA airport in the morning. Dave 'Birdie" came to pick us up and then we made a beeline to arriving back home to which I found everyone still in their previous night's slumber. I was mighty hungry and looking forward to the annual Mother's Day Brunch that Dave C. puts on. I got a big disappointment when he told me that the brunch had been postpone - but he was lying to me and a delicious Benedict Brunch was had with the fam bam. Cosette delighted me with a most wonderful sentiment in her Mother's day card to me and with a perfect pot of Azaleas which remind us both of the Azores. So basically it is a reminder each time that I look over in the direction of the violet blue leaves that I should book a trip to the Azores! After brunch the plan was to head over to Roger's Gardens. We had a nice stroll around and enjoyed one another's company. At this point there really wasn't much on in terms of plans, but I had heard the mention of going to the movies later in the evening. The movie planned was 'Hustle' with funny girl Rebel Wilson & Anne Hathaway. I was all about this! What I hadn't realized was that the movie was a remake of 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' - a movie that is so far from my taste in movies and one that I find rather offensive. Thus although Hustle was a winner amongst our crowd of 3 Daves, Matt, Andrew, Dominic, Cosette, my mom, Jet, Chaplin and of course myself...It was really not my cup of tea. The movie was pretty much the last thing we were doing and it was time to head home. After some hanging out, texting and reading I kinda zonked out and was out until this morning. More catching up to do today. I'll be back soon, -Travelin' Tanya | Elisa is having one of "those" days and she will be back with us tomorrow to talk all about her Mother’s Day! -T |
