Well it seems like one way or another that I seem to be awake at 3am on Easter...
Usually it's because of waking up at a ridiculous hour to get the kids at their call time for an Easter Sunrise performance. This year the booked performance at the Hollywood Bowl was cancelled due to lack of funding (on the organizers part) and that left us (the choir) high and dry. It was too late to get rebooked, and we had already turned down all of the other requests for our services. And to us it meant, not waking up at a ridiculous hour and getting more sleep on Easter eve.
Apparently I have issues and even with the ability to get a good nights sleep and be wide eyed and bushy tailed on Easter - for once... I had sooooo much to do yesterday that I didn't even begin thinking of changing into my pjs until after 3am. Who knows what time it was when I finally feel asleep?!
Yesterday was a rather full day of mostly shopping and prepping for today. Dave and I started out by having a delicious brunch at FREESOUL CAFFE and then off to the races we went.
By the end of the day we had pretty much been all over Orange County. And we were very successful - even more so than just assisting the Easter Bunny.
Because when I'm out gift shopping - what tends to happen...I find a bunch of stuff for myself!
So in and out of the fitting rooms I went. I found some lovely new additions to add to my wardrobe and several pieces to take with us on either this upcoming trip to Europe (May) or the next (Aug).
Not only that, but you'll never guess where I went... I found myself at none other than Dover Saddlery!!!
Yup the same store (different location of course) that Elisa and the girls went shopping at yesterday.
I never even knew that we had a location so local!
As far as today goes, my gang of 4 will be heading out to Easter Brunch at Seabirds Kitchenand then heading back home to catch up with the rest of the crew for Easter festivities of Eggs Hunts, Easter Baskets and Annual Spring Picture taking.
We'll then head out as a big group to Roger's Gardens and Fashion Island in Newport Beach, eventually making our way to dinner and then home back just in time to head out once again and go to the movies to see:
Batman v Superman - Dawn of Justice
So it's bound to be another LONG fun full day!
I'm gonna cut it short for today and wish you and all your loved ones a very Happy Easter!!
I'll catch ya back here for a fresh start tomorrow with the full SCOOP on all of today's antics and adventures.
Bye for now, -T

Easter Sunday in Boca Raton
Well, we've got quite a day ahead of us today!
First, the whole family will be heading off to 10:30 mass, here in Boca Raton. This is not an easy feat, since we have a number of late sleepers in the crowd!
The kids were up bright and early today. It was so cute to see Julian, Nolan and Kelsey all dressed and waiting.
At this point, you probably guessed that Gianna is one of the sleepyheads since she is missing from the photo.
WAITING PATIENTLY TO LEAVE FOR CHURCH
After mass, we'll head over to Mom and Dad's Golf club for brunch. I think I mentioned that we were having dinner there - I was mistaken.
Brunch at the club and then back home for a home cooked meal. I was a bit out of the loop on this one. But, Danielle and Mom took the lead and prepared a full Easter menu!
Danielle was slaving over the stove last night making Lasagne, while I was playing delivery girl doing take-out orders for the crowd.
In addition to Lasagne, we'll also be having a baked chicken dish - I'm not sure how they are preparing it, but I have no problem being surprised.
The fact that I didn't have to cook (or even shop!) made me feel even more that this is a vacation!
YESTERDAY, Gianna and I spent the afternoon together... it was an eating and horse tack shopping day.
The two of us headed out in the early afternoon for our excursion to Dover Saddlery. On the way, we decided to stop at a local Sicilian Bakery and Cafe for a light lunch.
My sister found this great little "foodery" and suggested we stop in for a bite to eat.
Who knew I could find a taste of my Sicilian childhood right here in Boca!!
This adorable, family-run cafe serves both light bites as well as some DEE-lish pastries and desserts.
Gianna and I enjoyed a slice each of pizza and walked out with a box of Sicilian cookies, including my favorites...linzer tarts!!
I'll be doing a Foodie Friday feature about Cosa Duce Italian Bakery next week!
Next stop...Dover Saddlery! What a gorgeous retail store! I know that Gianna could have spent hours and hours looking around and shopping.
She did a great job finding the things she wanted and was very frugal about her purchases!!
SADDLE PADS GALORE!
And speaking of Horses and Riding, I have to share something with you guys.
My Gianna created a beautiful horseback riding video for the Dream Come True Farm YouTube channel - it really touched me with its inspiration! Please check it out...
Later in the afternoon, we all soaked up the sun by the pool while the kiddies splashed around in the pool. It was really a hot one here in Boca yesterday!
