Elisa's Daily ScoopHere, There & EverywhereIt's Friday Folks!!! Yay!!! Heading to the Barn tomorrow... Actually, I'm not real sure what I'm Yaying about because tomorrow, I have to get up just as early as any other day to take the girls to horseback riding. They will be getting back to the barn after several long months of not riding. I don't know who is more excited! This Winter was a tough one. First of all, the kids were sick throughout November and December and then a bit in January - UGH!! Then, with the frigid temperatures, I was reluctant to take them for fear that they might get sick again. I'm actually very excited to go out east tomorrow since I haven't been to Remsenburg since January. Really looking forward to seeing my good friend, Lisa, catching up and having a few laughs!! Her daughter rides at the barn with my girls and they have become an inseparable threesome since meeting two years ago! Lisa, owns one of the most well known magazines out in the Hamptons, East End Living. I'm going to be doing an upcoming blog about Summer Rentals in the Hamptons in the coming week, for which I'll be chatting it up with Lisa to get the "411" on the Top 15 Tips for Renting a Summer House in The Hamptons. So, stay tuned and check out East End Living's Facebook page Foodie Friday... So, let me tell you about my day yesterday -- it was relatively uneventful, except for writing my Foodie Friday segment, Bond 45: Italian, Steak, Seafood & Vegetarian, a great NYC Theatre District restaurant, which I recently discovered this month. Errands, Yesterday & Today Denise had to cancel coffee klatch time with me yesterday since she and her two little girls, were home sick. Then, if that wasn't enough, she ran out of diapers! After picking my girls up from the bus, after school, I headed over to Walgreens to get diapers for Denise. She insisted I not come in, nor even interact with her by the door, for fear that I would catch their head and sinus colds. So, I left the bag of diapers for her on the porch like a delivery person! lol She's the new co-chair this year for the annual Father-Daughter Dance at the kids' school. Having chaired this even for the past two years, I offered to help in any way I could and so, today, I'll be making my way over to Costco to pick up many of the supplies for this festive event, being held on April 17th. Of course, I will not be going anywhere until I do a rigorous workout this morning! Here's how I make the time go fast on the treadmill -- I talk to someone on the phone - put it on speaker and talk the time away (huffing and puffing, of course) as I make my way through 30 minutes of an intense incline power walk. Then I'll do another 35 minutes of free-weight routines. Have any special plans for the weekend? Whatever you do, please stop back to say hi through the weekend!! Please vote and catch up on Day 7 of Tanya's Trip to the Azores! ---->>>>---->>>> -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily ScoopIt's gonna be another GREAT day!Wow, can you believe that it's Friday already?! Holy moly does time sure know how to fly when you are having a BLAST! What an amazing week it has been... we are having an absolute GREAT TIME and everything, I mean EVERYTHING is going PERFECT! GOD how I luv trips that go EXACTLY according to my plan and with happy bonus surprises! WooHoo!!! Everyday has been just wonderful, and I imagine that today will be exactly the same type of wonderfulness! We are heading out to the Eastern side of the island and to Sete Cidades for a magical horseback riding tour of the 7 Wonders of Portugal; and then for a lovely trek around the iconic "twin lakes", where we'll find some of the most beautiful and epic postcard views - it's known to have the best view that this island has to offer! I can't wait!! As for yesterday, we had a very relaxing day, hanging out at and around the resort. Touring the grounds, and climbing around the lava rock coves, watching the tide, and then we took a stroll out toward the little town for some additional views, coming back just in time to watch yet another amazing sunset! Ahhhh isn't this the life! Still having internet issues over here. That's just not what this place is about. Yes, I get mighty frustrated with sipping the internet through a straw. But then I look up, and wonder why I was looking at a screen in the first place! I really do want to share this magical journey via photograph and vlog with you, but we will both have to wait until I get back to the states. 2 more things: Please don't forget to keep your votes coming in! ------>>>>------>>>>------>>>> And don't forget to check out this weeks FOODIE FRIDAY by Elisa! For now I'm logging off and I'll catch you guys back here tomorrow, -T |
