BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Elisa's New Favorite Home Textile Brand
Howdy Folks!!!
Who's stoked for the weekend?! I'll be up and out early this morning with errands and then settling in to hang out with my girls for the day. Both kids have filled online shopping carts, for which I need to assist them with finalizing their purchases. What does that mean? Giving them my credit card!! Kelsey is ordering from Forever 21 for clothes and Glossier for some make-up.
Gianna will be placing her order on Amazon for a variety of items for filming for her YouTube Channel. Did I mention she's has been producing her own make-up videos for her channel?
You can follow her on Instagram if you are interested - for a 14 year old, she is really creative and talented at make up application! @GiannaVMUA Moving right along - yesterday, I mentioned that I had attended an in-store event at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York. The event celebrated the opening of Togas House of Textiles. The store was opened about seven months ago and represents one of two Togas showrooms currently in New York, and in the United States, for that matter! Absolutely gorgeous bedding, duvets, and terry products in their ready-made department and full couture services that include custom designing of window treatments, upholstery and wall covering, with a full selection of fabrics, accessories and wallpaper.
In fact, I purchased a set of pillow shams for Kelsey - for her new "purple-themed" room, for when we move!
We had a blast and I was so happy to know that there is a new store in town for beautiful textile products, as I'm getting closer to moving into a new home!!! A few facts about Togas, for your shopping information:
Well guys, I'm off to start my day!! Tanya is heading out for her road trip to Arizona today! Keep up with the latest from the road and her trip on instagram!! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
Tanya heads out for ArizonaGood Day Everyone & GREETINGS from the road! I'm currently on the interstate 10 freeway heading east and about 2 hours outside of Phoenix, which is our destination. We left a few minutes past my scheduled departure of 5am, but I wasn't cracking the whip this morning and since there hasn't been any traffic we've been able to easily make up those few minutes and will arrive exactly according to my plans. Dave is behind the wheel and Dominic is in the back seat snoozing away - he certainly isn't losing any of his beauty sleep! We caught a vibrant sunrise and we've got our tunes playing as I sing along and bebop to the music.
Our first stop will be for a lovely Saturday brunch before checking in and continuing on with the festivities set on our agenda for the day and I am a bit excited for tonight will be our first of three Cactus League Spring Training Games.
I guess you can say that I am kind of a hard core baseball fan! I'll be posting throughout the day, so just be sure to check out our FaceBook and Instagram pages. YESTERDAY: As I had mentioned that I had a bunch of last minute things to take care of before leaving for this trip. One place I had to go was out to Rancho Cucamonga. Which is not very exciting in itself. However I try to be the type to see the bright side of situations and enjoy myself regarding of where I am or what I'm doing. Along my drive I found hills full of bloomed mustard yellows that I just couldn't resist taking a picture of.
I also realized that I happened to be driving on Route 66 - which although I've never had and interest in personally wanting to drive the historic route I've gotta admit that it is kind of cool and iconic.
I also managed to squeeze in another session on the ice coaching Cosette. Jet, Chaplin and even my mom came and ice skated this time around! Go mom!
Another (amongst the many) stop we made, was to the AT&T store to get the kids new phones before heading out of town. Why is it that anytime I deal with AT&T be it over the phone or in person that it takes a huge chunk of my time?! While we were in the store socializing amongst attempting to be productive, the sales guys heard that I was heading out of town in the morning and needed to get this task accomplished that night. When they heard this, they immediately asked where we were going (as most people do) to which we told them and they thought it sounded fun... At which point Cosette was sure to inform them that going on a trip with me is a lot of work and quite draining. Explaining that it's more relaxing to stay at home and go to work. Buzz Kill much? So my day/night went long and late, as they usually do. We got a few hours of uninterrupted sleep - which is really all that I need and that pretty much brings me and you to the here and the now. I'm gonna continue swaying to the jams and enjoy the remainder of this 6 hour road trip. Catch me if you can. Otherwise meet me back here tomorrow morning to see what you missed. -Travelin' Tanya |
