Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 1 DAYS
Such a short week home
It's a rainy day here in SoCal. Pineapple Express is what they are calling it.
I'm a lover of the rain and I pretty much welcome it any day any time.
Only being home for a few short days had me a bit messed up and as of yesterday I thought I was leaving in 3 days...when in actuality I'm leaving for Arizona tomorrow!
I had much to catch up with yesterday and did not manage to get any unpacking or packing accomplished - aside from helping Dave pack (which is his WORST chore ever!)
So that leaves me with no other choice than to do all of the unpacking and packing today.
I did get quite a few "other" travel plans set and in motion.
Yet one thing I'm really not too thrilled about is the fact that I cannot manage to fit both going to Admont Abbey and the Sound of Music Tour on our schedule for the upcoming visit to Austria.
This definitely kinda bums me out, as of course you know I wanted to do both. But it seems like I will have to postpone the Admont Abbey to a future visit.

Meanwhile the fam bam and I are diligently working on our Easter colors and plans.
So far I think we are going with Lavender being the color and that we will be spending the day in Laguna Beach.

I've also went ahead and made plans for us for the day before Easter that will consist in us going for a English Breakfast at Kitchen Mouse (in LA) and the going to the Huntington Gardens - one of my favorite places to go in SoCal. Followed by us having a lovely afternoon tea at the Langham in Pasadena.

I'm looking quite forward to these plans. It should be a wonderful day and you know how much I adore Afternoon Tea!!!
I've pretty much got each and every weekend planned for us until mid-June.
One other thing that I managed to take care of yesterday was making all of our dining reservations for the few days that I will be in NYC for the Five Boro Bike Tour.
I'm excited to have reserved meals mostly at vegan restaurants that I haven't had the opportunity to try yet.
And then before ya know it the summer will be upon us and we will be on our summer trip back east, going to the MLB All Star Game in our nations capital, visiting family in New Hampshire, New York and Virginia and much more.
Well this summer the MLB All Star Game is scheduled one week later than usual, and this kinda screwed me up. I had made our hotel reservations back in the summer of 2017 and was pretty stoked with them if I may say so myself.
However I just realized today that I booked the hotel for the week I am accustom to the MLB All Star Game, rather than the week later as it is scheduled. So now going back the prices are all sky rocketed and I wound up booking another hotel altogether. Ugh
And I've got snow on my mind so I've also already been thinking about ski trips for next season!
I'm gonna sign off now and come back at ya tomorrow before heading out to AZ.

Elisa's Daily Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 11 DAYS
A Trip to Hudson, NY in 11 Days
So, I hope all of our east coast readers survived the nor'easter yesterday. Most of New York and Long Island was pretty much shut down yesterday - at least for the schools.
The snow was coming down all day yesterday and continued into the evening and overnight. My little gang did not go anywhere yesterday, except for our regular yard visits with our canine baby!
Today, the kids have a two-hour delay, which they were pretty happy about. But, then Gianna, who was nursing a cold yesterday, felt worse this morning. She fought me to go to school, but I just can't have her getting worse. So, she is home resting today.

Moving along, what I am SOOO EXCITED about is that I finally have a trip on my radar and added it to the countdown above!!! We will be taking a short 3-day trip in eleven days, north to Hudson, New York!
I realize I told you guys about this little getaway when it was in the planning stages, earlier this month (CLICK HERE for my scoop that day), but, as of today, everything is officially planned!
This includes our itinerary of places we will be visiting along the way, during our visit and on the return drive back to Long Island.
I cannot wait to get on the road and get away for a few precious days. It has been a while since me and the girls took a little road trip!
The last mini road trip the three of us took was back in November of 2015. (WoW - has it been that long??? This divorce has really gotten in the way of my travel the past few years!!!)
Anyhoo, us three girls drove up to Boston for a long weekend and had a blast!!!
