Can you believe that Easter is only 5 days away???
What a whirlwind first quarter of the year I've had!
And now that I'm home between trips for a couple of weeks and now that my birthday has past, it seemed to me like I would be able to sit back and chill for a wee bit... But noooooo Easter is coming early this year!
As sad as it was to find out that the Sunrise service at the Hollywood Bowl got cancelled this year.
What it does mean is that we'll be able to get some extra sleep on Easter morn (instead of waking up at 1:30am) and not be running back and forth between Hollywood and Anaheim Hills over the entire weekend (we'd have to be up there for dress rehearsals too). On that note, I think our Easter plans have finally been finalized and I'll be bringing you the SCOOP on what we will be doing in tomorrows W2GW.
Powder or Baby Blue is the color of the year for our family and we will of course be doing our annual Easter/Spring family photos on Sunday as well. Almost everyone here has their Easter wear, with a few members of the family still left to go. I will say one thing - it hasn't been the easiest color to shop for.
And now for some SCOOP: Yesterday I took Cosette to the stables to go see Dream, her big puppy dog (Horse).
And I got to see little orphan Al who is not so little anymore!
After the stables we went to Kohl's to do a return and boy did I feel like an idiot... I brought the package that had been derived to me and as I was explaining the situation to the customer service rep, I had explained why I hadn't opened the package. Next thing ya know she is reaching inside an open package and I'm standing there like a liar with my jaw dropped to the floor! Then she goes to pull out the merchandise and low and behold it wasn't even from Kohl's!!
Dodo brain over here grabbed the wrong package to return and needs to do a take 2 either today or tomorrow! Wow - sometimes I amaze myself with lameness!
Anyhow, next we were off to do some more shopping. Cosette had a long list of wants, and I had wanted to go back for a dress that I saw a couple of weeks ago.
In and out of stores we went. I was going a bit out of control - ya know there are those times when stores have absolutely NOTHING that I like, and other times that they have tons that I LOVE - so I'm hoping that it at least balances itself out.
And in the midst of all our shopping we lost track of time! We still had to get back and get ready to go to choir rehearsal!
Everything worked out, but that shopping itch hasn't quite been fully scratched just yet. So I can see some more shopping in our near future!!
Being that today is TRAVELIN TUESDAY let's go over some of the most recent travel updates:
Private tour BOOKED for Terceira.
Flight BOOKED to NYC for pre Disney World trip.
Flight BOOKED for Dave B. for Disney World trip.
Still working on bike trails for our Moab Trip.
Magical Anniversary Trip almost all booked.
And of course all I wanna do is keep adding new things to the already quite full CALENDAR - the opportunities are endless!
Anyhow, that's about it for today. Meet us back here tomorrow for all the SCOOP on what's going on this coming weekend in the W2GW (Where to go Wednesday) feature.

Here I am, my second morning waking up in Boca Raton! Ya know what I love...the weather on my iPhone tells me how it's cloudy and going to rain, but the sun just keeps shining!!
I really don't know why I continue to live in New York. Don't get me wrong folks...I LOVE NEW YORK. There is so much there - culture, restaurants, history, things to do. The list is too long.
However, there is so much to be said about the beautiful, tropical weather and slower pace of life in The Sunshine State.
For example, right now, I'm sitting in the yard of my mom and dad's house, comfortably situated next to the pool, in the warm sun, writing my blog. it's truly heavenly!!
Yesterday, I was in the mood for a healthy smoothie. I decided to drive around the Boca area looking for a place.
Well, lo and behold, I found a place!! Now, although this great little shop has been here in Boca Raton since November 2014, in a shopping center that I frequent all the time, I only discovered it this trip.
It's called Apura Juicery & Vegan Kitchen, and I'll be doing a Foodie Friday feature this week! So, stay tuned!
APURA JUICERY & VEGAN KITCHEN
Well, back to my week here in Florida...have a few days of enjoyable activities planned:
* APPLE STORE Today I'll be heading to the Apple Store, as we are in desperate need of another MAC charger.
* AIRPORT This evening I'll be making an airport run to collect Danielle and the boys, who will be arriving from New York.
* WELLINGTON HORSE SHOW Me and the girls and Grandma have a "horse day" planned for tomorrow in Wellington, Florida. One of their horse-riding friends from New York, is down here to show at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
The Palm Beach International Equestrian Center is considered the most recognizable equestrian sporting venue in America today.
* MUSEUM OF DISCOVERY & SCIENCE On Thursday, the whole family will take a drive south to Fort Lauderdale to the Museum of Discovery & Science, with the highlight being the viewing of the IMAX movie, NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE 3D
In addition to the activities, there will be quite a bit of relaxation by the pool and numerous power walks!
More about the above local excursions later in the week!!
