This is a short one! I'm getting myself all ready for my In-Store Event at Vera Bradley at Roosevelt Field Mall today. I hope to see many of you there at 12noon, however, if you cannot make it at that time, just pay a visit at any time during the day, show your coupon (below) and take advantage of the Event Special of $10 off $50.
I'll be sharing some great travel and packing tips, chatting about a few of my favorite Vera Bradley items and suggesting a few travel itineraries and special deals on All-inclusives for the month of March.
We'll be taking pictures and videos! What a great way to spend a "Shopping Saturday"! Ok, I'm outta here! -Travelin' Elisa xoxo |
From Lake Tahoe to SoCal
Hi there,
Well, I'm back at home. Writing to you from the comfort of my couch and listening to rain just outside my window. Yup, I went from the snowfall up in Tahoe to the rainfall here in SoCal. As we drove off, both Dave C. and I were thinking the same thoughts. The week went by too fast and it would be nice if we had another week up there to still play in the snow. We'll see what I can do about that next year. Maybe I will book a week up around Squaw Valley and another one in South Tahoe. But as for this year and this season, I only had the one week booked and we just arrived home from it last night. Plus if you've noticed my next trip is only a mere 6 days away. So I better get crackin' on unpacking the winter wardrobe from my bags and getting some summery baseball attire ready for the next one! Now let's get back to yesterday... Before leaving Tahoe we decided to stop by a little coffee house that we had drove past. It was Clyde's Coffee and little did we know bu the unassuming exterior just how lovely the interior was. Our plans were to get drinks to go, but deep down I had wished that we had come in earlier in the week with the time to sit back, sip on our hot drinks read and relax in the comfy atmosphere.
Once we had our hot drinks in hand we hit the road and were ready for the scenic long haul that was ahead of us..
Sights and scenes from our drive:
Aside from potty breaks and fueling breaks the only other break that I took was at the Mono Lake Viewpoint where it was mighty windy...
And back again on the windy road we went. Nearing Mammoth we had come into some flurries but that was about it for snowfall during the drive.
We arrived back home at around 8:30p, had unloaded and settled in.
Today is kinda up in the air. Cosette has work this morning and is dying for me to coach her on the ice regularly. However the ice skating rink schedule doesn't match up with her today, so we need to figure out when we can do this. I might go for a mani/pedi since today is the only day that I have available before we leave for Tampa. Tomorrow is Dave B's mom's birthday and so we will be heading up to Agoura Hills for the day. I'll probably do my blogging on the way up . Have a great day, -Travelin' Tanya |
