It goes on to say, "New York's eastern Long Island and Boston will feel its effects. With the moon full, the tide is at its highest point of the month, and the storm surge could drive as much as 4 feet of water into coastal neighborhoods...Parts of eastern Long Island and eastern Massachusetts could get up to 5 inches of rain through Saturday. The rest of the region could see 2 to 4 inches of rain"
Additionally, wind gusts are expected as high as 65 MPH.
Normally, I don't get too concerned about storms. It is what it is, there is usually nothing you can do except to stay indoors and remain safe and prepared for power outages.
However, today, we have the added stress that it is the annual Father Daughter Dance at Gianna and Kelsey's school. It was hit and miss, as to whether the dance would be cancelled considering the pending weather. In the end, it was decided that the Dance will go as planned!
As co-chair, I have a great deal to do - final set up at the school gym, picking up cupcakes for dessert, awaiting deliveries of tables, beverages and food. And that is in addition to getting the girls ready for this long awaited event!
I'm going to leave you for now and will be back tomorrow to give you a run down of my plans for March!!! This will includes some day trips, a walking tour, great features on women and more!!
