Celebrating My Wonderful Cousin - Plus 5 Great Spring U.S. Road Trips
Hey there!!! I woke up feeling so upbeat this morning - maybe it was the sun shining through my bedroom window or maybe it was knowing that today is my dear cousin, Travelin' Tanya's birthday!
It's times like these that I get so frustrated that we live 3000 miles apart. I cannot even begin to imagine the exponential increase on doing things and going places that would occur if we did live nearby to one another!! In any case, we do have a few things on the calendar whereby we'll be together!
May - 5 Boro Bike Tour
As you know by now, Tanya will be heading east from SoCal in May to participate in the 5 Boro Bike Tour. So, we'll be connecting - hopefully for a DEElish vegan meal of some kind!
June/July -Cousins Taste of Sicily Trip
This is going to be a full week of togetherness, travel and touring!! Not only will be visiting the east coast of Sicily with each other, but we'll have all the kids with us too!! We'll be having another phone-con pow-wow in the coming weeks to finalize tour details, restaurants and breaking it all down into daily itineraries. Lots to look forward to! In Travel News... Are you getting Spring Fever? I know I am! And with the warm weather quickly arriving, my mind wanders to all the great trips that are just perfect for Springtime, namely road trips!! Consider these five scenic destinations, as beautifully highlighted in The Discoverer Blog's article this week:

Wishing Tanya an amazing day today and remembering all the fun times we've shared together!!! xoxox

Happy Birthday to me and Happy St. Joseph's Day to you!!
Hello out there and welcome to our little page!
I know that a great number of you have been following along with all of our travels, adventures and just plain ol' shenanigans for years. And we truly appreciate you and thank you. Today is my birthday and as I sit in here in the peace and quiet (since everyone else is asleep) for starters I am so grateful that the weather cooled off a bit for my special day. I'm no fan of the hot weather or the heat...unless it's to warm me up from frigid and freezing temps. While most people expect that I would be off on some grand vacation exploring the world on my bday, That is something that I did in the past. Nowadays I choose to share my birthday with my loved ones (who are not the biggest fans of traveling). So instead I just travel before, after and throughout the rest of the entire year. Last year for instance my birthday trip was to Rome and Ireland. Scheduled to return home on my birthday. We had a marvelous trip. However once it was time to come home, this happened to be one of those times when things didn't quite go as planned... Read more here: March 20, 2018 - How much time should you accept for layovers at LHR Since we're not catching a flight today, I hope that my plans work out a bit better. And speaking of work-out - that is exactly what we'll be getting today...a great workout!! My plan is to go play tennis just about as soon as I finish typing up this blog. Then after tennis we will go indoor rock climbing - where I will most likely screw up my lovely manicured nails - but I don't mind, I'll just go get them done again. After rock climbing, since we might be peckish I think we will go for Acai Bowls and then off to the ice skating rink! I'm not sure just how many takers I will have for each activity (not everybody can keep up), but I think the kids will be doing all of them with me. I guess in this case as weird as it may sound... I birthed my play mates!! LOLOL After all the fun, I will be going to get my hair done and Cosette will be heading home with the rest of the fam bam, so that she can continue on making my dinner - which I am already looking super forward to!!
Many people have asked why I didn't schedule my hair appointment yesterday and that was when I had made my initial appointment. But then I got to thinking about how messed up my hair will get with all the activities and sports, that I decided to wait until after all the sweating was done! LOL
Dave was so sweet to give me this beautiful pre-birthday bouquet yesterday so that I could wake up and enjoy the flowers throughout my entire birthday. They smell amazing! Here are a few fun past birthday blogs that you might enjoy...
