Can you believe what is going on right now outside on Long Island (and a good deal of the northeast)
SNOW!! Who could believe that with the lovely Spring-like weather we've been having all week, Mother Nature would bestow snow upon us this weekend!
As you may have noticed, Tanya is attending the Natural Products Expo West Show today through Sunday, out in SoCal.
This is very similar to the Green Festival Expo, which takes place in New York City each Spring. Hard to believe it's almost a year since I attended the 2016 Green Expo with my Aunt Ro last Spring!! My gosh, does time fly!!!
Well, it was truly fun, informative and Dee-licious!!
The show features everything from natural products, to great innovations in health (natural, of course) to really good eats!!
If you missed my re-cap last April, check it out here:
This year, it will be in New York City, once again at the Javits Center, but two months later - June 10-11, 2017.
Can I tell you how thrilled I was that it was moved!! Last year, it took place in April and I was afraid that it would be going on while I was in London for Gianna's 13th Birthday Trip.
So, I've put it on my calendar; and I'm hoping my dear Aunt Ro will want to attend once more with her favorite niece!
As Tanya will be chock full of great information about the Natural Products Show in SoCal, let us not forget that today is also Foodie Friday and with that comes the topic of...yup, one of my favorite subjects - FOOD.
I want to do a little re-cap of two of the food vendors present at Green Festival Expo last year, both of which I had the pleasure of sampling some yummy eats.
As an "almost-vegetarian" I do eat dairy, but I'm very much a proponent of non-dairy products for a multitude of health and humane reasons.
Let me tell you, DF Mavens' ice cream can make you give up dairy ice cream in a licketty split!!
Using only the highest quality ingredients, their ice creams are dairy-free and gluten-free, vegan and certified kosher by the Orthodox Union. Their frozen desserts are made locally in New York with coconut, almond and soy based flavors.

My mouth still waters remembering the Peanut Butter Fudge Mash!
Lucky for Tanya, DF Mavens will be at the National Products Expo (West) where she will be this weekend!!

I'll be securing my tickets this weekend and look forward to telling you more three months!
As for the rest of my day, I'll be stocking up on food and supplies for the storm that we are in the process of getting and then my hope is that my girls will clean up my dining room, which still looks like an arts and crafts fair from the work they did on their science projects for the STEM Fair this past Wednesday.
I'll have to play things by ear for tomorrow as far as making it out to the barn for riding.
Stay safe, stay warm and have a wonderful day!!
Tanya's Daily Scoop NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 10 DAYS
Hey there everyone!
It's that time of the year again when the Anaheim Convention Center becomes a bustling metropolis of the Natural Product minded from around the world.
This is an extremely exciting event and the largest of it's kind! Not only does it fill every possible corner and space in the Convention Center, but also at least 2 of the nearby hotels (Hilton and Marriott) meeting rooms, halls, etc. Filled to the absolute brim with product launches and advancement of this booming industry.
While it was my original plan to head on over there at 7:30a this morning and participate in the breakfast and morning seminars, being that I plan on staying the entire afternoon - until 5:30p and going back there tomorrow and Sunday - I kinda figured that I shouldn't completely overwhelm myself on the get go...
And let's not forget that I don't get overwhelmed very easy.
I'm heading over there as Press, since this is not a public event and yet draws a crowd of nearly 100K.
As a first timer last year I was amazed at how many booths and vendors have exhibits. Spending all of 2 days (of a 4 day event) there last year and barely scratching the surface.
Here's a small sampling of the visuals from the 2016 show:

This year I have a few post show articles in mind and I hope to make a bit more head way, meet with a few more people (I have meetings across the board and really hope I can navigate from one to the next - yikes), I'd like to try more samples and do even more Vegan Foodgasms reviews!!
Today, I'll actually be part of the board that vote on the BEST IN SHOW, which is pretty exciting, but an awful responsibility since there is so much to take into consideration.
Well there will be lots on my plate for today (pun intended). And then as an after show treat I will be heading over to get my mani and much needed pedi!
Ill be back here with all of the SCOOP tomorrow. Be here or be square!
