NEXT EVENT IN: 20 DAYS: MEAN GIRLS ON BROADWAY
Memories of Italy with the kids
Hello and hope you’re having a great day so far.
I am so excited for the next few days as Gianna has a number of things going on with year-end events. Tomorrow is her last final and then all she has left is the math regents next Tuesday
Tomorrow night is her last school dance, which I know she’s really looking forward to but it’s also a little bittersweet for her all the girls will have a sleepover at one of her friends house and I think the rest of the weekend they have some plans that include bowling and possibly shopping
I’m still in a bit of shock that my 14-year-old is going to be starting high school in September. I’m trying to stay really positive about the fact that we will have a buyer on our house and find a new home by the time school starts for both girls in September.
This morning I have a few writing deadlines namely for my weekly article for this is the Bronx dot info. After I complete this I’m going to take some time to do some research on Sicily, which is planned for next summer, 2019. I will keep you in the loop as to what I’m thinking for my itinerary but what I can say is, my vision is to make my way around the island and see as much as humanly possible!
My only limitation with these kinds of heavy duty touring trips, is my kids because they have a different vision of what travel is all about.
I’ll be heading to the salon later this afternoon to get my hair done, as I have a busy week coming up and then Gianna’s graduation breakfast, ceremony and luncheon next Saturday
So I’m going to make this a short one and thought I’d leave you with a few memorable pictures from my 2014 Italy trip with the kids. -E

NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 35 DAYS:
WASHINGTON DC / VIRGINIA
Am I jaded? Or just hard to wow...
Good Day Everyone!
I'm sure glad to have working and decent wifi this morning. Ya know, it's the little things! lol
Perspective is a CRAZY thing...
When I look at the countdown that is above and read 35 Days until my next trip - I think WOWZERS that is a L O N G time from now!
Seriously take a look at it from my perspective and my calendar... The last time that I had 35 Days between trips was waaaaay back in September, 2017 and before that would've been December, 2016 - and that doesn't count local day trips of local overnighters (like San Diego or the likes).
But I'm sure that there are bunches of people who would be at the edge of their seat with excitement, knowing that they are leaving for a trip in 35 Days.
I'm certainly not saying that my perspective (in this instance - LOL) is the right way to go.
Actually I wish that I could be a little bit less JADED.
And perhaps that is not even the right term.
Maybe it's that I just don't get too excited at the same time and about the same things as other people do.
I mean don't get me wrong, of course I get excited about my trips. But going on them is just a way of life for me. It HAS become my life.
And before I go any further - you should know that I LOVE my LIFE. I really LOVE my Life and appreciate it to the fullest with much gratitude!
I tend to get more excited when thinking about experiences, both new ones and trying to relive old ones - which I'll tell you right now just doesn't ever go down the same way.
It's better to enjoy yourself and have a new experience, even if it is doing something that you've done over and over before, then to expect the same results from a past experience.
So maybe what I was trying to convey is that I don't generally get wowed.
Which would translate to being impressed. There you have it. It's impressing me that is incredibly difficult. Whew. Glad we got to the bottom of this!
But now that we have, when I am impressed and I am excited it's like having the excitement of a child and seeing things that you love for the first time! It's truly AMAZING!
And I can honestly say that I experienced this feeling more than only once on this past trip - POLAND/GERMANY/AND MORE!
And how fitting is it that today is Thursday AKA Throwback Thursday and I'm gonna share with you a wee little throwback from only a few weeks ago...
The first place that I was impressed by was -
Pretty facades of Poznan (c)travelincousins.com
Relaxing by the fountain in Poznan (c)travelincousins.com
Then I was totally wowed by -
Rooftops of Gdansk (c)travelincousins.com
Near the Gdansk sign (c)travelincousins.com
Then I totally fell in LOVE with -
Mirabell Gardens, Salzburg (c)travelincousins.com
Salzach River in Salzburg (c)travelincousins.com
And I was overwhelmed, overstimulated and nearly cried out of joy in Rothenburg ob der Tauber

Enjoying Rothenburg ob der Tauber (c)travelincousins.com
One of these days (I mean years) I've gotta plan a Christmas Market trip and Rothenburg ob der Tauber will definitely be on that list!
Ahhhhh how I love to travel. I sometimes can't contain myself!! And there ya have it...
I'm excited again!!!

See ya back here tomorrow when I do something a wee bit different for Friday. But you're gonna have to come back to see exactly what that is!
