Hump Day Already??I had to think for a few minutes before I started writing because I couldn't believe it was Wednesday already! Wow, this week has been going by quickly! Yesterday was truly a fun day! I had a blast with the girls and my nephews at Adventureland. We spent close to six hours there and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The kids went on almost every ride, and multiple times on several including one of the roller coasters and both water flume rides! I had a pretty fun time on the roller coaster as well! Of course, we all did not eat well - funnel cakes, hot pretzels, churros, ice cream, candy - not a very nutritious outing, to say the least. But, it was a totally fun day! Really looking forward to seeing Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill tonight. Dinner will be at one of my favorite pre-dinner restaurants, Trattoria dell Arte (which I'll be talking more about on Foodie Friday this week!). And last but certainly not least, we are so excited to have our first Guest Blogger today! Kaye Perron, a dear friend of mine recently had an amazing three-month adventure in Africa, as I had mentioned earlier this week. Today, read her story Game Capture Adventure in the South African Bush - Part 1. We will be posting Part 2 next Wednesday. We hope you enjoy this amazing account!! It is one of the most exciting travel stories I've ever read. Till tomorrow, remember life should be an adventure! -E | I luv check marks on my To-Do list!Well hello hello! We have a lovely surprise for you today! Today we published our first Guest Blogger - Kaye Perron! And what a truly exciting adventure she shared with us all - Game Capture Adventure in the South African Bush! Show her some love and please comment on her story! While my day (yesterday), wasn't quite as fun as Elisa's, I did get quite a bit checked off of my to do list! Dave's airfare to Philly - DONE Tickets to the Padres game - DONE Tickets to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Festival (now that was a mouthful) - DONE Cotswolds Hacking Reservation - DONE Along with a bunch of other non-travel related stuff. Which of course is no where near as fun to do! More stuff on my list for today - I need to secure the cruise excursions, buy the Phillies game tickets, continue working on the UK dining plan, purchase Broadway tickets to 'A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder', working on tomorrows Throwback Thursday, and of course the usual non-travel related stuff like laundry and getting Dominic's haircut, etc. A couple of updates: Cosette's horse trainer who was feeling ill last Friday has found out that she has a blood clot in her femoral artery and an abscess right next to it. She's having surgery today - please keep her in your prayers. While I don't know how she got this - being a traveler it's very good to keep in mind that while on long flights or car trips (anything where you won't be mobile for long hours) to get up, stretch, move around, and get your blood flowing every hour or so. Now on a more positive note: Our adorable little chick 'Miracle' who is getting bigger everyday opened his/her eyes for the first time this morning! That's about all for now folks! I'll leave you with a quote that I'm posting for my mom - who has the worrying gene :( "Worry is a down payment on a problem you may never have" - Joyce Meyer Don't worry - Be happy! Cya tomorrow, -T |
