Plannin' Our TripsHey there! Well, things are really coming together for all of the trips Tanya and I have planned over the next several months! You can see all the progress on our Trip pages under "More." It's hard to believe that we have multiple destinations being planned simultaneously, but we are both pretty obsessed with the idea of traveling, the planning and the trips themselves!! Yesterday, we spent a few hours sorting through all of the sites and restaurants on the way to Santa Fe from Taos and in Santa Fe itself. Tanya is going to take the lead this week and blog about our New Mexico trip. I'm excited to read her take on things! In the meantime, I've been working with our guest blogger who will be featured tomorrow. She will be sharing her exotic three-month adventure in Africa this past Winter! I think you are going to find her account like something out of a movie! Today I'm headed to Adventureland, an amusement park, here on Long Island. The kids are so excited. I'll be taking my two nephews as well - let's hope I make it through the day with four kids in tow. I'll be taking lots of pictures too. We're gonna top off the day with a fun meal and I'll let the kids take a vote on whether we should go to Applebees or California Pizza kitchen! Have a great day and see ya back here tomorrow! -E | New Discoveries! So busy with trip planning that the days just fly by and we are loving every single minute of it! Elisa and I went over lots of detail for Part 7 of our New Mexico Trip. The UK trip is piecing together even more. It's all so exciting! But I've gotta tell ya, that yesterday during some of my finishing touches while making Afternoon Tea reservations, I had a let down.. Out of the 4 places that I chose, I narrowed them down to 2 and I definitely had a favorite in mind. Well even though we are 2 months out, it seems that Claridges is fully booked (they start taking reservations 90 days out, and I didn't find this bit of information out until today). Ugh I hate when that happens. But at the same time, I know that there must be a better plan for me. So I try to not get too frustrated and just go with the flow - especially since it's definitely not from lack of planning! LOL A few other things that I took care of was finally purchasing our tickets to the Red Sox game at Fenway for while we are in Boston next month. And tickets to the Yankees game at Yankee Stadium for while we are in NY. I went to the IPC travel meeting and we continue to move forward in our planning for the Orlando trip in February. I need to figure out some more of the logistics and head up a meeting with all the Associates next Monday evening. Then, if I can manage to get to Orlando ahead of the group we should be able to time it perfectly with Elisa, and the girls during Presidents week! Wow! Adventureland! I haven't been there in many moons, but I know the kids are all gonna have a blast! Hopefully they'll all still be awake by the time Elisa pulls into the parking lot for dinner! If we were closer, I'd be out there with Dominic and Cosette too! “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt Live life to it's fullest! -T |
