Sweets and Sweet times!
It's the second day of summer and we are still here in New York enjoying ourselves.
Yesterday was the first day of summer and apparently that went completely unnoticed by Elisa and I.
It was the longest day of the year (although I know that I've had others that felt a lot longer)!
For us it was all about Donuts and Good Times.
Sweets, seeing old friends and catching up!
The first stop of the day was at our all time favorite east coast Donut Shop - Dun Well Doughnuts...

Walking into the familiar and well loved donut shop we made a bee-line to the donut case.
The after finally making our choices we took a seat and finally sunk our teeth into the delicious soft, fresh and perfectly sweetened doughy delights.

Once we were all sweetened up we were ready to hit the road and head on out to Smithtown to go visit and see our good friends...

After sharing many stories and laughs it was time to head out and head on back to Queens.
Just to keep you up to date and posted - even the original plans (or I should say the latest plans) for yesterday had to be changed.
Ya see Jack (Dave's brother) was suppose to spend the day with us. Going to Dun Well and then heading on over to visit with Mike and Michele.
Well, it so happened that Jack decided to change the plans, not join us for donuts and decided to arrange for us to have dinner around his new place in Flushing. As much as I don't like plans being changed on me - and I was looking forward to having dinner with our friends, I went with the flow and we started on our way to Flushing.
Very shortly after getting on the road - hunger pangs had set in and I couldn't wait to eat dinner!
But no sooner had plans changed yet again - which you all know I am getting quite tired of!
And now Jack was cancelling dinner because his roommate had to go to work.
Luckily I found out that my Grandma had actually made dinner... Which I was so relieved and happy about! I was gonna be fed!!!
When we pulled up to my Grandma's house, there was a car parked in my spot - and with the issue of parking in NYC - you could imagine my initial frustration... Until I realized who it was.
Our old family friend Albert had come by to visit us!

Meanwhile yesterday I also found out that a good friend of mine happens to be in Peru. Ahhhh Peru!!!
