Elisa's Daily Scoop Kicking off SummerHappy Hump Day and Happy Last Day of School! My girls had a two hour day today and now they are free and clear for the Summer! From today through after July 4th, we have no schedule, no agenda, no place to be!! The girls and I are going to totally enjoy this free time by having leisurely days at the pool, catching up on movies and getting ready for the month-long horseback riding camp schedule. We will not be staying out near the barn full time as in previous Summers, so we will have to get up and at 'em early in order to make the hour-long drive to the barn each day. Motherhood never ends!! However, I know the girls are sooo looking forward to the full-time schedule of riding and I'm confident it will make a tremendous difference to their equestrian skills, so, it's a sacrifice I gladly welcome!! There are lots of local fun things happening as well and here are a few that my gang is considering slugging into our schedule... TKTS for an impromptu matinee Now that the kids are off, I just might head into NYC and stand in line early for a matinee next Wednesday at half-price! Check out their site: www.tdf.org Ralph's Italian Ices Nothing kicks off Summer better than some Italian Ices! We'll definitely be making some visits to Ralph's throughout the next week! Adventureland If the kiddies are really good, I may just surprise them with a day at Adventureland in Farmingdale, Long Island! It's our annual tradition to go to Adventureland on the last day of school. But, that is not happening as the girls had other plans with their friends. So, a day of rides may be a great way to spend a day during the next week!! Check out their site: www.adventureland.us So, we certainly have lots of options in the coming week!! Enjoy the day! -E xoxo | Tanya's Daily Scoop |
