NEXT EVENT IN: 8 DAYS: MEAN GIRLS ON BROADWAY
Adventureland, Broadway and Hot Air Balloons
School is winding down this week and I have to tell you, I'm bushed!
Gianna is in full-fledged teenager mode. She has plans with her friends for everyday. And us parents are just driving all over to do drop offs and pick ups.
Last night was the movies for her; today is bowling; and Friday is Adventureland.

As for me, my plan is to take Kelsey to Adventureland either while her sister is flying around the park with her friends or, on another day. Either way, she and I will be hitting the amusement park together either this Friday or next week.
Why the uncertainty? Well, Gianna and her friends want to go at night, which I'm fine with, but, I prefer to go in the day with Kelsey. However, if necessary, and no other parent can stay at the park on Friday night, then I will do it and therefore, Kelsey and I will do our own thing while the teens are flying around on their own.
We're going to figure it out tonight.
I'm particularly excited that we only have one more week before we head to NYC to see Mean Girls!!!
One of our favorite parts of going to see Broadway shows (besides the show itself!) is the meal that precedes the show! Italian has always been the cuisine of choice, but this time, we are trying something new.
When searching for a restaurant close in proximity to the theatre, Supernova at the Novotel came up. After checking the menu, and consulting with my two theatre going daughters, I decided to book it!

Here's their website description:
Supernova is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Sit back, relax and enjoy delicious American comfort food with a modern twist served up by our Chef Eddie McCrae.
I'll give you all the details next week!
And to start off the month of July, me and the girls have our two-day trip to Rhineback to the Hudson Valley Hot Air Balloon Festival! The itinerary of this mini trip is pretty straight forward - Watching hot air balloons and eating. lol.
We may make one stop along the way, if I can find something that the girls will enjoy. More to come on this!!
Sorry this is a short one, but, Kelsey gets out of school early and I promised her we'd have an early lunch together!
Have a great day! -E

NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 22 DAYS:
Such Different Perspectives
Well HOWDY! Happy hump day to you (better known as Wednesday).
The first 2 days of the week have just been flying by for me. It's seriously crazy.
Today is not really anything special or anything to write about...yet!
We'll be heading to the stables and I'll be taking Dominic to his class later tonight. Maybe a bit of shopping. We'll see.
But tomorrow I'm definitely looking forward to. Ya see, my friend Kathy had sent me a text last week, she was about to purchase tickets and had asked me if I would like to take Cosette and go see Cinderella at the Pantages Theatre with her and her daughter.
There was no question that I wanted to see it. I just had to find out from Cosette...and she said YES!
Kathy asking me had totally reminded me that I had wanted to go see Rogers and Hammerstein Cinderella last year for my birthday as well as go to the Disney's live action version movie, which the entire gang of us did go and see.
I may not be much of a television watcher. Nope, I don't watch TV. I may fall asleep to it if someone else has it on, but I don't do these binge watching things or follow any shows or series. BUT I do go to see plenty of movies!
In other thoughts, there was a story that I wanted to share with you. It was actually one that Cosette had overheard while we were at lunch the other day. She heard a couple discussing to their adult children how they went somewhere and had the most amazing wonderful time.
Sounds good so far!
Well because they had such a wonderful time, they will never go back. Because they don't want to ruin the time that they had.
How many people think this way???
How very sad.
How can going back to a place that you had a wonderful time ever be ruined by going back?
First off, you should not ever expect to recreate the same exact time that you've had in the past. It's not gonna happen. That is the past. It's in the past. And cannot ruin or change your memory of that experience.
Secondly, if you love a place, by all means go back!
You know I do!!
Have a new experience. Make new memories. Focus on the here and the now and not the past for goodness sakes.
That's about it for now. Much to do, I best be running now. But you can bet that I'll be back with lots more tomorrow!
