First and foremost I want to wish a Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's, Grandpas, Uncles, Step-Dads, Dads to be, all the Dads in heaven and anyone who is a Father figure!!
Today, I'll be spending part of this gloriously, sunny day with my Dad and the rest of the family to celebrate Father's Day.
More about our get together and the GREAT meal we have planned at Chat Noir! In fact, I'll be doing a Foodie Friday feature on this delicious restaurant!!

Our Saturday was super fun!!
Not only did we have a fabulous day at the barn -- the girls did better than fantastic! Both jumped and did the course with such precision, but they also rode different horses than their usual ones and handled them beautifully!!
Me and the girls were a bit tired after a HOT day at the barn, but we pushed ourselves, made our way over to Mattituck and it was definitely worth it!!
We met up with a few of Gianna's class mates and their moms and spent four hours walking around the festival, going on rides and eating...you guessed it - STRAWBERRIES!!
Yes, that's my crazy daughter and her friends!
Sorry, this is a short one, but I have to get myself moving!
I wish you a happy and fun day today!!

What do Fathers, Vegan Food, & Grammys have in common?
NOTHING, aside from what my weekend has and is about to be filled with! LOL
Happy Sunday to one and all, and before I go any further I'd like to start off with wishing all the Dads, moms pulling double duty, and just about anyone loving enough to fill the shoes and responsibilities of a Father a most wonderful Father's Day - because YOU deserve it!
Well here I am on the road again and heading up to the City of Angeles - Los Angeles. But this time to celebrate Father's Day...more on this below.
Yesterday went just as planned, and it was FANTASTIC!! Dave and I started the day with a morning visit to see his mom up in Agoura Hills.
Dave B. and his mom
It had been a while since a visit, and I know that both mom and son appreciated the visit and the time catching up.
NEXT UP was the:
Just parked. The Rose Bowl behind us.
We are here. Let the fun begin!!! (c)travelincousins.com
And what a BLAST-A-ROO we had!
The event was really fabulous. And we spent the entire day taking it all in.
From 1pm-7pm we wandered the grounds, ate plenty of highly anticipated "special" festival only foods (from restaurants that came from across the country to appear at this event).

We listened to band after band...yes the music was great.
And we drank, and drank, and drank, and drank - we didn't partake in any of the craft beers (neither of us being beer drinkers), but we indulged in more than our share of Kombutchas, Craft Sodas, and Cold Brews.
I appreciated that the event was very well organized, and although quite crowded, the space had been spread out over enough space (we were on the golf course adjacent to the Rose Bowl) and there were just so many wonderful vendors that the lines were actually a breeze!
And speaking of breezes, although it was the beginning of a massive heat wave, we had brought a pair of coming chairs, set them up in the shade (luckily we showed up early enough to do so), and thoroughly enjoyed a delicious breeze for most of the day...come 6ish the breeze was gone and the air was hot and still - which was kinda yucky - but it was the only yucky thing about the entire day!
I've got plenty more pictures to share and food to talk about, so I plan of giving you a FULL REVIEW and RECAP of the BIGGEST and BEST VEGAN BEER & FOOD FESTIVAL #eatdrinkvegan this coming week. Including a list of my favorites. Just remember this one this...it was AMAZING!
Am I having fun or what?! (c)travelincousins.com
The festivities will continue today as we head to breakfast at The Grain Cafe - a spot that I've been meaning to try, and then we go to the:
And that is only the start of it. It's sure to be another wonderful day...all of which I will fill you in on in tomorrow's Daily SCOOP!
