BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
A visit to the Laguna Beach Tide PoolsHey there! How's your weekend going? Mine hasn't been too bad thus far. In fact it's been quite lovely! I had a few chores to tend to yesterday morning and while I was out and about between chores, a friend of mine had a wonderful idea of us going to check out the local Laguna Beach Tide Pools. The day started out with a shady gray ocean haze which I enjoyed and which had provided lovely not too warm temperatures especially for being in the direct exposure and peering into this amazing "intertidal zone" home to crabs, sea urchins and anemones. The only issue was my poor choice of footwear. Well I suppose I could've kept my shoes on...but then my shoes might've got wet. So instead, I opted to trek around barefooted - not recommended especially if you have soft feet like I do. OUCH! VIDEO below - I'm a lover of animals but also a bit squeamish as you all know. I'm certainly no Steve Irwin. WATCH: What a great morning it was and then I was back to my chores and my biggest chore was packing!!! Today is also Father's Day! Elisa has provided us with some great info about 10 Historic facts about Father's Day. Check them out in her column. We are about to head out to breakfast and then to a matinee - Dave C's plans. Then hopefully I have the time this afternoon to go grab a much needed manicure - recently my nails have been growing like crazy! I also need to finish my packing and get the kids and Dave B started (even though he might not be coming to London, he is still coming to the MLB All Star Game and festivities) And finally, I'll be whipping up the requested dinner of vegan Calamari Pasta - soooo good, it's definitely a fan and family favorite! On that note, I'm gonna sign off now so that we can be on our way.
