​Rocketman Recap and new movie releases to be seen

Well my lovelies, how are you today?
Another gorgeous day here on Long Island.  In fact, during my visit to see Dad at rehab today, he was actually very enthusiastic to go outside and get some sun!  

His rehab facility has a very pretty courtyard surrounded by grass and huge flower pots.  Me and my sis sat with him for close to an hour, chatting, and just letting him breath in the crisp fresh air and get some Vitamin D from the sunshine.  It was a great visit today!!

As for me and my gang, I mentioned yesterday that we were off to see the movie,  Rocketman - the story of superstar, Elton John.  
Wow - is all I have to say.  They did a wonderful job with this movie - casting, screenplay, acting, and the use of his original music throughout the storyline.

The film moved along quite smoothly with a timeline that moves back and forth from "present day" 1990's to the past and Elton John's childhood and early career.

It was touching, upbeat and sad, all at the same time.  The costumes were impeccably stylized for Taron Egerton (Elton John), as were the elaborate sets.  I absolutely recommend the film, particularly if you are an Elton John fan.

Honestly, I said to my daughters, that my belief is that this feature film was created in such a way to mimmic a Broadway play, so that they could seamlessly bring it to the Broadway stage.  Though there has been no mention of this from what I've seen, as the plan, it's a personal hunch that I have - so let's see what the future brings!
