Book Store...Here I Come!I just love days when I don't have anything on my schedule! Today is one of those days and I'm going to take full advantage of it. I'm planning to go to Barnes & Noble today to sit and relax with a nice cup of Starbucks Refresh tea and a bunch of books about Italy. I've been focusing on this trip, since it's right around the corner - August. Most of the trip is finalized, but now, I want to focus on the sites and activities in each of the cities that we will be visiting, and in particular, make sure they will be appropriate for Gianna and Kelsey. I'll have more to add to my new page Italy Trip Planning. I did manage to make contact with a tour guide in Florence, Rosa Maria, and she seems wonderful. She said she will plan out a lovely tour of some museums in a way that will be enjoyable to the kids, just as Luz did in Paris at the Louvre (see Treasure Hunt at The Louvre). Rosa Maria also recommended yet another tour guide for us to contact in Rome. So, we are moving right along! Hope you enjoy Tanya's Throwback Thursday story! A good lesson to be learned from it while traveling. Oh, and in case you were wondering, I got tickets for The Statue of Liberty and so all the cousins will be going all together the day after Thanksgiving. I am, however, going to pass on the Thanksgiving Day parade with Tanya and opt to watch it from the comfort of my couch! I'm also going to be finalizing my Foodie Fridays feature for tomorrow about a wonderful restaurant in Vienna! So, speaking of food, after a little research, I found out that today is National Peanut Butter Cookie Day!!! (BTW - who makes up this stuff!) Here are some great recipes: Peanut Butter Recipes Enjoy!! -E | Memories of Yesteryear! It's Thursday for some, TBT for others, and you know what that means for us, it's our Throwback Thursday! Today you will find my Lessons from a Detour story from circa 2001, with pictures and all! My chubby apple cheeks and Dominic as a wee little guy! So cute!! This afternoon, I'll still be working on some ongoing projects, and I found some pictures to add to my first Throwback Thursday - an Underage Gambler. I'll also be building on to the UK planning page. I luv how Elisa's Italy planning page is coming along! As if I really needed anything else to make me want to go with them! Doesn't it do the same for you? Are you a food lover? Last night I just couldn't stop looking at pictures of food and was non-stop at reviewing menus, I don't know if it was just because I was hungry or because I really love Food! This is a trait that has been past down to me and one that I proudly have past down to my kiddos. Along with Elisa, I know that we both agree that it definitely runs in our family! I'm looking very forward to see what delight Elisa has in store for us tomorrow for Foodie Friday!! Yup that's us! We love to eat and we're pretty darn good people too! :) -T |
