Errand Day

HEY!! Saturday here and it's another day at the barn!

This morning was fun - Gianna and I were given a tour of the Stallion stables. These horses are all former race horses and boy, are they powerful animals!!

...And truly magnificent looking! Many of the other riding horses at Dream Come True Farm were out in the pasture enjoying the sunshine!

Last night, my sweet Godson graduated from 8th grade. I cannot believe how quickly the past 13 years went by!!!

It was a beautiful ceremony and I'm so proud of him! My girls were so beautiful and grown up last night. Just another two years and she'll be graduating and on her way to high school too!

I had a bunch of shopping to do this morning at Tanger Outlets for the girls.

Kelsey grew so fast - outgrowing all of her pants and tops. With summer coming, I needed to get her some new clothes. I managed to find Gianna some tank tops as well for Summer riding.

Justice Outlet had some great buys today!!

Now, my hope is that everything fits!!

I got my usual smoothie - "Muscle Builder" at Bananas in the food court at Tanger.
Really yummy - strawberries, bananas and peanut butter! So good!

The week ahead is going to be so much fun!

I'm going to be giving you the low down on future trips with Tanya that I have planned.

We are both soooo excited to be planning trips together!!

Well, folks, sorry this is a short one today - but I promise I'll have a longer blog tomorrow.

First weekend back in the States

Howdy Folks!

It's the weekend. Last Saturday we were on the beautiful island of São Miguel checking out small villages, waterfalls galore, and a lush tea plantation and this Saturday we are at home...

Being that I'm more of the type to want to get out there and explore, there is just no way that I could or would want to just sit at home and relax.

In fact - short story here:
Yesterday I made a last minute appointment to go and get my nails done (I just didn't want to wait any longer).
So while I was sitting there, I couldn't help but overhear the conversation going on next to me.

The nail artist was asking her client what her plans were for the weekend, and the girl responds by saying she has no plans and maybe she'll go to the beach - if the weather is hot enough...

Okay for starters, I'm not a fan of the heat and ever since coming home I have been melting - not sure how I'm gonna deal with the summer?!

*Luckily I'll have a lovely break in some not so HOT locations on our MAGICAL ANNIVERSARY TRIP in Aug/Sept.

And the other thing is that how could you not know what you're going to be doing?!
I was flabbergasted!
I don't think I go a day of my life without knowing what I'm gonna be doing.
---That was such a weird concept for me.

So anyhow, today we are going to be off in the direction of Huntington Library and Gardens.

The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens is a collections-based educational and research institution established by Henry E. Huntington (1850–1927) located in San Marino, California. In addition to the library, the institution houses an extensive art collection with a focus in 18th and 19th-century European art and 17th to mid-20th-century American art.
The property also includes approximately 120 acres of specialized botanical landscaped gardens.

We'll be grabbing breakfast on our way at a "newish" place out in Pasadena that I've been cyber drooling over their menu, and then after the gardens we'll go have another much anticipated meal at By-Chloe.

By-Chloe is the restaurant brainchild of the cookbook author and first ever vegan winner of Food Network Cupcake Wars, Chloe Coscarelli.

While this location in Los Angeles is brand new and has only been opened less than 2 weeks, she already has multiple locations with lines out the door in NYC!
So needless to say - I can't wait to dig my teeth into some of her grub!

Now as far as how yesterday went, you already know that I went to go get my nails done.

But what you don't know is how much I tackled on the travel front. I seriously think I have a major case of Travelers A.D.D.!

From Portland to London, Paris to Zermatt and then some I was bouncing around on the cyber globe making reservations here, there and everywhere!

And by the time I was done, I had a grin from ear to ear and was bouncing up and down from the excitement of all there is to look forward to!

I was stoked to reserve 3 afternoon teas at some of the most sought after locations in all of London - of course having to narrow my list down to only those who cater to vegans!

I was thrilled beyond belief to rebook the same room at the property we stayed at (we really loved it there) in the car-free village of Zermatt for our Euro Ski Circuit Feb 2017.
