BRAND BALLOT'S TOP 100 MOM BLOGS FOR 2018!!
Family Time
Hey there! Can you even believe that it's ALREADY June?!
WOW. I don't believe it myself. I'm kinda in shock over here. 5 months have already gone by in 2019 and only 7 more to go. Christmas is in 6 months and 24 days... I better continue my Christmas shopping! (And yes I did say continue.)
Well the 5 months that we've had have definitely been quite a bit busier than in years past. And I'm running around fitting in and doing more shorts trips than I have in the past.
Of course not taking away from any of the longer vacations - I would never do that!! But what it has taken away from is family time. And I am hating that. And it's something that I need to work on scheduling better. It is all the more tough with the kids being older now and Cosette working, as they continue to pick and choose from which trips they have interest in. The rest of the time they choose to stay at home with my mom and their dad. Cosette actually has her own trip coming up this Thursday! I don't mean that she is going on her own, but I'm not going on this one. Brigitte and Houston are going with her up to Seattle. She is going to Prom - not her own, but her boyfriend's and he lives in Seattle. While this has been the plan, it was up in the air as to if I was also going or not. It had been decided not. So with that I decided to take Dominic on a fun road trip. Well my fickle son has changed his mind (as of yesterday) and now he is opting to stay home. UGH Now I am going with a friend. I was definitely pretty bummed. Because I had a bit of a surprise. But I can't reveal it here quite yet... Stay tuned. We all know that being around family is not always the easiest time. LOL But for me it is the BEST time. And also for me as you know, my household (if you are one of our long time followers) lives my entire fam bam clan that is out on the West Coast. I'm fortunate in this way and I am very thankful for this fam bam of mine.
I was also very happy to make it back from my most recent trip (to Bermuda) in time to go watch Mika in her talent show...
Which was a family event!!
Mika and Noah both did a great job and it was great fun to watch them along side the rest of the fam.
This weekend is fairly mellow for me/us. I went out with a friend for an acai bowl this morning and I'll be taking Cosette ice skating here in a little while. Cosette has work later this afternoon. And I'm not 100% sure what the rest of us will be doing. Tomorrow is a choir graduation and year end party. Lots of catching up for me to do as well as working on details for our upcoming Sicily trip for which we depart for in 20 days!!! We'll first be going to NYC for a quick visiting trip and then off to London where Dave (B) is scheduled to meet us for lots of Afternoon Tea and good times! Then finally we'll be off to Sicily where we now have a friend coming to join in on the fun... And it's another Dave (Y). I'll be signing off for now. Hope that you have a fantastic day! -Travelin' Tanya |
