Elisa's Daily Scoop Covering Long Island & NYC Boroughs CURRENTLY IN: GARDEN CITY, NY
New Feature in ThisIsTheBronx.info about Woodlawn Cemetery
Happy Friday - this week FLEW BY!! Nonetheless, this weekend will be the start of two very hectic and exciting weeks.
My little girl, Gianna, will be graduating from 8th Grade, after nine years at her school. She is almost a high schooler!! Where did the time go?
Today was her last and final school mass, which was actually dedicated to the 8th Grade, with the handing out of yearbooks and a special dedication to one of their teachers, for which Gianna gave the speech!

Next week starts finals, then the following week is full of all kinds of events and fun trips, leading right up to Graduation Day!! Really exciting couple of weeks!!
In travel news... I was so excited to see that Tanya had written her Scoop prior to me getting on today! She must have had some wifi.
I texted her earlier and I know that my dear cuz is NOT enjoying the heat lol. Heaven knows, she and I had our fair share of it during our European Rail trip back in 2015, when central Europe was experiencing a bit of a heat wave. Boy, was it HOT!!!
However, knowing what a trooper she is, I'm sure no one would even suspect that the heat is getting to her!!

Back here in New York, I'm proud to say that another article is being featured today by your's truly in ThisIsTheBronx.info about Woodlawn Cemetery.
This article coincides with a lovely event happening this Sunday June 3rd at the cemetery: Dawn of the Jazz Age , which celebratesthe centennial of the beginning of the Harlem Renaissance.
The concert will feature a special performance by accomplished musician and clarinet player, Victor Goines and Friends.
Earlier this week, thisistheBronX TV's Gary Axelbank visited the Cemetery’s ‘Jazz Hill’ to learn about Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton, Miles Davis, and the dozens of jazz greats who are buried there. We got a jazz history lesson and unlocked a few jazz secrets.
Check out this video!!
If you are a jazz lover, this is a great event to attend on Sunday!!!
Well, my dear ones, I'm going to get my house organized for yet, another open house tomorrow, before i have to play chauffeur to Gianna tonight who is going to a few town fairs with her friends!!
See you tomorrow - Elisa xoxo
Tanya's Daily Scoop Covering the West Coast & the World CURRENTLY TRAVELING IN: BERLIN, GERMANY
At Reichstag in Berlin, Germany
GREETINGS EVERYONE from Berlin!
We arrived last night after a day on the road... What I thought was going to be "The Romantic Road" however I think the vehicle GPS had other ideas. I'm in the big city now - so I ditched the car last night! I'm no fan of driving in cityscapes. It's all about being on foot.
Which btw we are now up to 109 miles on foot!
I'll tell ya...I was getting quite sick and tired of that GPS and her attitude problem anyhow. So I'm quite glad that we broke up! LOL
Well this is my first time in Berlin and I'm about to head out and see what I think. Last night was rather disenchanting, but we'll see what the day brings forth and then I'll bring that info forth to you!
On that note; Isn't it great to have Elisa back on the blog!!! She is always a huge help when I am traveling and with all of the experiences that I'm having, occasionally all of the frustrations (bad wifi connections) that I incur, and sometimes I just have no time to jump online - as I just can't seem to go 24/7 (as much as I'd like to) without any recharging (sleep - zzz's lol). Elisa is a ginormous help in getting some info out to you guys and sharing the pics that I've sent to her! Thanks cuz!!
To be me is a busy job and in order to have all of these experiences to eventually write about - I need to actually be out there experiencing them! - I knew you'd understand :)
Today is suppose to be a hot one and I am not a fan of the heat - so I just might come back to the room for a cooling break and I'll catch up as much as I can at that point. I have plenty of pics that still need to be uploaded and plenty of stories to tell you about. So don't be shy and be sure to check bak here soon! -Travelin' Tanya
Hey Guys - Elisa here - Tanya sent me these pictures/videos from her trip to the Parliament Building also known as Reichstag. Enjoy them!! -E

Hi there! It's meeee again...
And just like I said, we are back in our room for an A/C break. But it is later than I thought we might have come back for such a break. And this A/C break is actually more like a nap break for dear ol' sleepy Dave.
Enjoy this photo tour of my morning and I'll be back to share more when I can!
