"All the best performers bring to their role something more, something different than what the author put on paper. That's what makes theatre live. That's why it persists." - Stephen Sondheim Happy Monday!!! -E | Welcome to a New Week! While my weekend was full of many non-stop activities, somehow at the same time it seemed like a rather relaxed and mellow couple of days! What was your weekend like? Did you get some extra sleep? Have a wedding to attend? Go to the beach? Were you on vacation? We'd love for you to use the comment section and tell us all about it! Early yesterday evening before going to see the movie 'Maleficent" we went to go play tennis. We found that our usual courts happened to be taken, and I figured we'd just head to a nearby schools courts. And upon our arrival there we find that those courts were locked.. Determined, I do an online search for yet another nearby tennis court. We pull up to this newly found court and happily find it available. I ask that Dominic run over and make sure that it wasn't also locked. It was open and he goes skipping inside. Then as a jokester he shuts the gate behind him just as Cosette is walking up. Smirking that he locked her out. Little did he realize that he just locked himself in! When I bring this to his attention he looks stunned... Guess the joke was on him! No choice but to climb out. Cosette was definitely the one with a huge grin on her face now and we are all chuckling quite a bit at the situation. Eager for us to get a move on things, so we can move on to the next courts and hope for some better luck. I encourage him to climb out. Also with knowing with the movie showtime approaching that we wouldn't really be playing for very long. Dominic then used his monkeying around skills to climb the 12ft chain link fence (never having climbed a fence before) and escapes! Continuing our search, a few blocks away we finally found a court that wasn't taken, that wasn't locked, and that we wouldn't have to climb out of! Game ON! Well, as for today I'm looking quite forward reading Elisa's review on Beautiful (what a fun day she had)! Then I'll finally go start my day full of travel research, writing, some time carved out for a workout and to get good sweat, then off to choir for the kids weekly rehearsal and my travel meeting.
