What's Round, Yummy, and has a Hole in the Middle? Can you believe that it's already Friday?! And that we are in the month of JUNE?? Wow, some months just go by so much faster than others.. And I can't tell if doing as much as I do slows down time for me or speeds it up...hmm ya see, if I look ahead at my calendar and schedule it seems like all these things will be upon me in no time at all - but then when I look back at all the things that I've just done it seems like the experience was such a long time ago! Weird Stuff!! So does anyone know what day it is? It's Foodie Friday and it's also National Donut Day! How much fun is that?! Well my review isn't on Donuts this week, guess I could've planned that one out better! But if you are in the mood to have a sweet read you can always go to our archive for a review on Dun-Well Donuts or find Dun-Well Donuts reviewed on Ezines Articles. Speaking of Donuts - while we were in Mendocino eating a donut, I happened to ask Dave what his preference was, either Cake or Raised Donuts? He went back and forth carefully deliberating in his decision and then explained that based on Ronald's (in Las Vegas) Donut Holes, he said that he had to go raised because they are like the enchilada (his favorite food) of Donuts! With all of this Donut talk it's a crying shame that I don't live closer to a vegan donut shop so that I can indulge! Instead of indulging, I'll be running around doing all sorts of bunches of errands, plus taking Cosette Horseback riding, and to a birthday pool party, and then while she is over there Dave, Dominic, hopefully Liz, and myself will go play some tennis! And maybe, just maybe I'll book a trip to Hawaii!! I was looking at some pictures to post on Instagram yesterday and I really got in the mood to be in Hawaii. So that could only mean one thing...time to start planning a trip! Yay! Okay, I've gotta get crackin' - hope you get to enjoy a donut, or two, or three today! Ciao, ciao, -T | So Many Great Surprises!!I had such a wonderful day yesterday -- actually, a "beautiful" day! It started off with a very enjoyable ride into Manhattan with my mom, on the way to see the new Broadway show, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. The day started off raining, but as we were driving, we saw the that clouds were opening up and a lovely blue sky was peering through. We made it to the theatre in plenty of time, and even took several pictures outside the theatre. Our seats were wonderful!!! Center orchestra Mezzanine!! I cannot wait to tell you more about the play, which will be featured on our Entertainment Reviews page Monday! Our day continued with Mom and I having a delicious dinner after the show at a restaurant called Etcetera Etcetera around the corner from the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on West 44th Street. Most of the meal, we spent talking about our upcoming trip to Italy in August; trying to figure out what sites and activities to put on our list. The rest of the time, was just spent devouring our three-course dinner of deliciousness! The day was topped off by two terrific pieces of news!! First, I received an incredible email from my tour guide in Paris, Luz, who took us on our Treasure Hunt at the Louvre. She had read my article about our wonderful experience last year with her and told me she would be linking my story to her website! How great is that!!!Some amazing exposure for Travelin' Cousins! Then if that wasn't enough to make my day - I received a second email from a friend, who had read my article Confessions of a Jersey Boys Junkie and had shown it to her friend. This friend just happened to be Danielle Gaudio- Lalehzar, the daughter of Bob Gaudio, original Four Seasons member and the song writing genius of the group's music (and so many other songs)! I also received an email from Danielle, telling me that she loved my article! I can't tell you how this made my day!! Additionally, she shared with me, the newest venture for the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, for which she is the creator. It's called JerseyBabys. Her concept was to rework the music of this iconic group that we all know and love, and create soft lull-a-byes and ballads. You can listen to a sampling of this cd on the JerseyBabys website. All in all it was a spectacular day!! Don't forget to catch Foodie Fridays today written by Tanya! Till tomorrow - have a beautiful day!!! -E |
