Howdy everyone! Wow, was it nice to just wake up when I was finished sleeping today. No place to be, no alarms. Love those kind of days. I'm still working on finding that "low" fare to New Mexico for our road trip in October. Still no luck! I was really hoping for a sudden drop :-( But so far, these rates are well over $500 with extremely early or late flight times and to make matters worse, many are not even direct flights! I came up with a great idea this morning (so I thought) - what if I fly round trip to Santa Fe instead of Albuquerque. It's only an hour's drive between the cities, so if I flew into Santa Fe, I could drive right down to Albuquerque quickly and meet Tanya and her gang. Well, believe it or not, the fares were even more expensive! Nothing more I can do but keep myself on all the alerts (which I have been doing) and these include Travelocity, Trip Advisor and Priceline. Plus, I have my beloved travel agent, Stephen, on alert as well!
Okay, so this week is going to be great!! We are going to be launching our Entertainment Review page tomorrow, which we are hoping will help many of our followers who like to see shows around the country when traveling. The first review will be of Jersey Boys!!! I'm also really pumped since I'm going to see Beautiful: The Carole King Story, this week as well! I'll be reviewing this show as soon as I can and posting. We are loving all the comments and feedback we are getting!! Please keep it coming!! You may also notice that we have bumped up our postings on Facebook - links to helpful and informative articles. LIKE our page for our multiple daily posts.
Having a late breakfast this morning with the kids - making french toast on cinnamon swirl bread! I'm going to be working on several logs for Tanya and I today. One to keep track of all the articles we are publishing and the other for our mounting "To Do" lists. These should help us with our efficiency in making our site even better!! For now, I'm off for my morning (uh, well, afternoon) walk!!
PS: We found this newborn baby deer behind a bush on the side of my yard in Remsenburg yesterday. Probably waiting for its mommy. I was able to capture this "aerial" view from my dining room window. Love that the deer roam free all over my property out East!!

It's a lovely day in the neighborhood; The weather is perfect, not too hot and not too cold. So we are gonna take full advantage and stay in our own backyard! We are gonna head to the tennis courts, go on a "River" bike ride, take Cosette to Girl Scouts (that reminds me, I have to go buy some cookies to bring), need to go to the market for juicing ingredients, and then after dinner we are going to go catch the movie X-Men: Days of Future Past. Elisa heard about my day and jokingly said that I was a bit manic today! LOL I really do have a tough time keeping any open slots in my schedule!
Yesterday was another FULL day and it went very well, but since the kids were tired, I decided not to go to the bookstore. Both Dominic and Cosette had solos singing the opening song 'America Sings' at the Make-A-Wish Event at the Santa Ana Zoo. This performance happened to be the last one that Cosette was the Ambassador for The Philippines (heritage from her Paternal grandma's side). And last week was Dominic's last performance as the Ambassador for Italy. Dominic is going to be honored tomorrow with becoming The Ambassador for the USA (he's been the alternate, because although he was being honored with the title last year, he compassionately gave it to girl who was next in line. A high school senior who wouldn't otherwise ever been given the opportunity). Dominic is going on his 10th year with the IPC. Being Ambassador to the USA is a title that is only given to the most qualified senior ranking member after carefully being interviewed by the board of directors. Cosette on the other hand has been on the wait list for Italy ever since she joined the choir (almost 7 years ago), so she is VERY excited to finally have the opportunity to fill the shoes as the Ambassador of Italy (this will happen at tomorrow's Graduation Party).
Lots to do this week with the site! So I hope you guys all have a fantastic Sunday and that you are looking as forward to Monday as I am!
