Happy Make Someone Laugh Day!Welcome to Hump Day!! Today also happens to be Make Someone Laugh Day. So, here is my attempt at making you laugh: What do you get when you cross poison ivy with a 4-leaf clover? (answer is backwards) kcul doog fo hsar A So yesterday, I wound up staying in Remsenburg and not going to the Maritime Museum because Gianna had asked me to come to the barn in the early afternoon to see her and Kelsey ride. Both girls have become so good at horseback riding over the past year and I'm so proud of them! I really love their barn and their trainer, Concetta. She is so skilled and teaches the kids to be confident, pushing them, yet staying aware of their capabilities. Last night, Gianna and I had a mommy and "G" dinner in Westhampton Beach. We went to one of our new favorite places, Cafe Mambo. We each had a delicious sweet crepe. Of course, that was not enough for a hungry girl who had been riding all day, so we also manage to get Gianna a mozzarella and Arugula wrap around the corner at Mambo Kitchen. We walked around and shopped a bit and then came home. Tonight is my special time with Kelsey. She wants to go to Margarita Grille in town. I'm sure we'll end up having some dessert at one of the sweet shops as well! My plans for the afternoon, while the girls are at riding camp will be to exercise and catch up on my online internet class. Out of 12 webinars, I'm only up to 10 (yikes!). Then I'm going to fine tune my "eating" itinerary for Italy, based on the suggestions given to me by some of our apartment hosts in both Rome and Florence. I have some wonderful places already on the schedule for Rome, including Ristorante La Capanna which dates back to 1518!! The month of August is going to be a great deal of fun, since both Tanya and I will be on European trips. We will be posting each day's events in The Daily, so you can feel as if you are traveling with us to Italy and Scandinavia respectively! We do hope you interact with us and share your comments either on the blog or on our Facebook and Twitter pages!! We love hearing from our friends! Happy Hump Day and remember to make someone laugh! -E | Back to the Grind? Ya right!Well helloooo there! I'm back in Sunny Southern California. Arrived yesterday at LAX and my mommy came to pick us up! The drive back took us a while, due to the ever so lovely traffic! lol Once we got to the house, we found 2 very excited little girlies! My nieces Mika & Chaplin had been looking quite forward to our return! Such little cuties!! We had a fairly mellow afternoon, as Dave C. (who's birthday it was), didn't want the "pressure" of making any plans! Sooooo nothing like me for my birthday, my kids birthdays, Dave B's birthday! I say - it's your birthday - it's time to celebrate YOU & enjoy yourself! Make plans, make BIG plans, because you are worth it! So anyhow, for the remainder of the afternoon I just chillaxed and caught up with stuff. One thing that you might have already noticed is that I added some new pictures to the "new" slide show! So far I just stuck with a taste of Alaska, and Hawaii. Neither being too shabby at all! And both bringing back all the wonderful memories of each trip! I look forward to returning to both destinations! I ran into a few frustrations in dealing with this website, so several pictures that I added...well they kind of vanished! UGH I'll have some more time today to add even more pictures for your enjoyment! Please go check them out and let us know what you think! The rest of my day will most likely be spent writing, unpacking, and going over my itinerary for our UK/Scandinavia trip, doing trip research, and working on the rest of my travel schedule! Sounds like a great day to me! We are always looking forward to hearing feedback! See you in the comments! -T |
