Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 9 DAYS
Continuing our busy weekend..
I'm writing from the passenger seat while sitting in traffic yet again..
This time we are heading up to Agoura Hills. Yesterday we were heading to San Diego and sat in sooooo very much traffic to get down there.
But then since we were going to stop for Acai bowls on the way I rescheduled us to leave at 9:30am.
It was calling out to me and I couldn't help but walk in and look at the beautiful photographs that were on display and for sale. each one having previously been published in the National Geographic publication.
Seeing striking photographs from locations that we both recognize and those that are on my list of places to go. Next up was Dave's request and seeing some of the works from Dr. Seuss, albeit only 1 original.
Being that we were already there in La Jolla, we opted to take a little stroll and check out the shoreline and wildlife.
We all grabbed a bite at Plant Powered before continuing over The Coronado Bridge and to The Historic Coronado Hotel Resort.
There must have been a pod out there of playful Dolphins as most of us continued to see the dorsal fins peek out above the surf.
However dear little Chaplin couldn't quite figure out which way to look in order to spot them and then as if almost on cue a couple of the Dolphins had jumped out of the water and started splashing around definitely being sure to catch her eye!
It was adorable and I enjoyed it so much that I missed taking any pictures.
However unbeknownst to us there was an accident on the bridge. Closing all northbound lanes and causing all travelers to drive further south around the bay and even closer to the border of Mexico before being able to get on the freeway and head North and back to San Diego!!!
Good thing we didn't make any wrong turns at this point!
Having a nice birthday dinner was the event that we ended with before heading back to Orange County to prepare for all of today's activities...
