Travelin' Cousins Together!Howdy! Well, today is finally here and the travelin' cousins gang will be together for the first time since April, when Tanya and the kids were last in New York. More on that in a minute...But first... Last night was wonderful as we celebrated and had a bit of a surprise for Tedd's 60th! Uncle Jack's restaurant is a high-end in every way. The food is excellent, the staff is so accommodating and to top it off, Tedd was very surprised to see the crowd gathered in their private room to share his special milestone day! Lots of fun had by all! As far as today goes, we are headed to Brooklyn to Dun-Well Donuts for those famous vegan treats!! Can't wait! We're all meeting up this morning for the first time this visit! After downing some donut delights, we will head back to Garden City to hang out all afternoon at the pool. Tanya and I have lots to discuss and catch up on for future plans for our blog, as well as our upcoming NM road trip. And speaking of NM, we can't wait for you to read Part 10 of Tanya and Elisa's New Mexico Road Trip Blog, posted today. It's all about the places we will be seeing along the way driving from Albuquerque to Taos. Fun Stuff!! Being Travelin' Tuesday, I've also shared my story about my cooking class with Gianna on Saturday at A La Carte Cooking School on Long Island. I highly recommend these culinary classes for anyone living or visiting Long Island! Later tonight, we'll be joining my Mom and Dad (and collect Nolan and Julian for the evening) for a fun greek food dinner. Here's to lots of excitement for a family get together!!! Enjoy your day!!! -E | Back in NYC!Before I get on to anything else I wanna mention how awesome our new look is! So clean and crisp! Dontcha just luv it?! I know that we have our work cut out for us in terms of uploading all the pics to the new slide shows, but I luv looking at pictures and actually look forward to all the time and work to get it up and running so that you (our readers) get to see all of the beautiful places around this world that we've been to and hopefully they even spark some excitement for you to start planning some more of your own travels! We are always here to help answer any questions you might have! And we welcome your suggestions to our planning as well! We arrived back to NYC late last night after spending a lovely weekend in Boston! Yesterday we got to take a tour of Fenway Park. I was looking very forward to this tour, but to be honest with you, I feel they could've done a much better job in what they show you and the information shared. We've also toured Wrigley and Yankees Stadiums in the past. Both of those tours were absolutely awesome and I highly recommend taking them. This one not so much. I'm still glad that we went and checked it off of my list! After having lunch at Veggie Galaxy, we went to the Boston Museum of Science and spent the rest of the day exploring in this fun hands-on complex! As for today, well we just can't wait to all get together; starting off with Dun Well Donuts and then off to have lots of laughs, do plenty of trip planning, and watch the kiddies play, bond, and just enjoy being kids! Then later tonight, we'll all meet up for a big family dinner and a blast from the past... I haven't seen my Aunt and Uncle in over 30 years!!! Have a happy and cheerful day!! See you back here tomorrow. -T |
