Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 17 DAYS
Please pray with me..
Well here I am. Originally the plan was to head down to San Diego today and hit up Comic Con. But there was some confusion with our tickets and instead we are staying local. Which also works!
Because there is actually a vegan health/food faire that I have missed each and every year that we will finally be able to go to!
And we'll go to San Diego next weekend for Dave C's birthday.
Yesterday went as planned and before the kids extra choir rehearsal we had gone to visit Cosette's dear friend Angie in the hospital - ICU to be exact.
Before heading over there I had stopped to pick up a couple of gifts to hopefully brighten her day. But of course seeing and hugging Cosette was definitely brighter than anything that I could bring.
So sad it is to see ones that we care about and love in any type of discomfort or pain.
And this little girl who's personality usually brightens any room that she walks into was sitting there in the hospital bed clearly depressed and uncomfortable.
Her mother had taken notice of an unknown lump. Curious she brought her to the Doctor's office to have it checked. Just as soon as the doctor examined it he told her to immediately go to the ER. That was a week and a half ago and she's been at the hospital ever since.
Needless to say that she underwent surgery and much testing with results that no one ever wants to hear. CANCER.
Luckily her parents are keeping things very light hearted and staying positive. And keep the patients spirits up.
It was so nice to see her laugh and smile at some of my stories and obviously hysterical antics.
There is hope that she will be out of ICU by Monday and out of the hospital within a couple of weeks. Then comes the long road of 10 months (approx) of Chemo.
There is doubt that she will be able to join the choir on their trip to Idaho. But once she is feeling up to it we will definitely plan something special for her to enjoy.
Please share this message and please help pray for this dear child.
Spread love and live life to it's fullest!
I'll be back tomorrow to let you know how the health faire went.
Blessings,
-T
