Five Independence Day Fireworks Shows
Here we are - the first full week of July about to begin! I went outside with my Punkin this morning and I nearly gasped from the humidity! Another hot one on the way!
It's kind of an interesting week with July 4th falling right smack in the middle on Wednesday this year. Things are pretty quiet and relatively empty around Garden City. In fact, my gym was virtually empty last night when Kelsey and I got there at around 7pm.

Benefits of Wheatgrass
It's new day. A new week. A new month. A Monday and my week is already off to a very busy start.
This week is going to be insane. Nothing short of pure craziness! And with our National Holiday - Independence Day falling on Wednesday (July 4th), it has made all other schedules that I work around quite erratic and irregular.
Luckily I have a few minutes right now to jump on here, welcome you back to our little blog and to share with you a bit about yesterday.
Yesterday was the annual End of Year Award Ceremonies for the International Peace Choir. Which this year was combined with a pool party. This was the main focus of the day.
Of course there was plenty of "other" stuff to do and places to run around to.
We start each and every day with a nutritious fresh squeezed juice - mine always being Grapefruit Juice. As yesterday's morning continued we didn't seem to find the time to stop and have breakfast.
So as we were on the go, we decided to stop at Jamba Juice to fill our bellies up just a wee bit more.
When I go to Jamba Juice I usually stick to the Fresh Juice Blends, but being a tad more on the hungry side yesterday I opted for not only a shot of amazing Wheatgrass, but also the Acai Super Antioxidant Smoothie - which is a blend of Açaí Juice Blend, Strawberries, Raspberry Sherbet (Contains Milk), Soymilk, Ice, Blueberries, and an Antioxidant Boost - less the Raspberry Sherbet of course.
Some of the Amazing Benefits of Wheatgrass
Boosts Energy Levels
Soothes Skin Conditions and Wounds
Improves Hair Health.
Strengthens the Immune System.
Wheatgrass juice is an effective healer because it contains all minerals known to man, and vitamins A, B-complex, C, E, l and K. It is extremely rich in protein, and contains 17 amino acids, the building blocks of protein.
Wheatgrass juice also contains up to 70% chlorophyll, which is an important blood builder. Wheatgrass Juice is one of the best sources of living chlorophyll available today. However, to get the full benefit, the chlorophyll must come fresh from a living plant - not that powdered stuff! Click here for 50 REASONS TO DRINK WHEATGRASS EVERYDAY

We arrived at the site of which the party was to be held. And this year things were changed up a bit and the party was being hosted at the home of our Assistant Director.
Dominic, Cosette, and their friend Andrew (c)travelincousins.com
I had the microphone in hand and the ceremony began. Promotions were handed out, awards, certificates and recognitions given.
Cosette got her 11 year pins and certificate and being that she is at the end of her term as USA Ambassador she handed over the banner and position to her friend Brianna who had been thoroughly interviewed for the "job".
NOTE: That Brianna's duties will begin in August and Cosette will remain USA for the WCOPA

Once the ceremony had wrapped up, it was time for dinner and then what all of the little kids couldn't wait for - jumping in the pool!!!!

Everyone had a delightful time and when the time came, it was difficult to pull them out of the pool. But when is that ever easy?! lol
Our hosts had recently rescued a baby crow and nursed it back to health. The cute and friendly little guy seems to have imprinted on the father of the house (since he is the birds care taker and rescuer).
DID YOU KNOW: Crows are fascinating birds and among the smartest animals in the world.

Even after healing up and being set free. This little guy chooses to stay in the tree out front, hang out in their yard, or stroll through their house!!
If you ask me, I think they have a new family member!
Anyways guys, it's time for me to go. Too much to do...AGAIN.
