Woo Hoo Friday!I get so excited on Friday, but honestly, I'm not sure why. It's summer, so everyday is like the weekend when the kids are out of school and I work from home. It's still a good feeling to know the weekend is here and I'm so happy for everyone who has a Monday through Friday work week.  I plan to do a lot of catching up today. Organizing around the house, including packing up some old clothes for the poor, throwing out things that have been lying around in my attic, that I promised myself I would get rid of months ago. This includes old, beaten up luggage. About two months ago, I ordered lovely new luggage, which I cannot wait to use on my upcoming trip to Italy!  MY NEW LUGGAGE Lastly, I have to get over to Walgreens to scan some pictures for upcoming editions of Throwback Thursday. Tanya and I created a full schedule for both TT and Foodie Friday for when we are traveling abroad next month, so you can be sure, our site will continue with all the usual features despite our travels! It's a beautiful day, so I had planned to visit the pool today with Kelsey. She just loves the slides and the swings and sprinklers there. I'm hopeful to get a few features completed as well for upcoming posts here on Travelin' Cousins as well. Hey, are you liking what we have been posting on our social media pages? Enjoy the sunshine and Happy Friday! -E | Time flies when you're having fun!I can't believe it's already Friday! What an exciting week it's been! We left and arrived on the East Coast on Monday, took a road trip up to New Hampshire on Tuesday, have been visiting with family everyday, we've been taking a Lakeside vacation since we got to New Hampshire, and the fun just hasn't stopped! The only issue that I've run into is the lousy wifi at this resort. Perhaps it's the location of our room, but it's hurting, and we are each having frustrations with the minimum amount of time that we are attempting to get online. Ugh! So as you all should know, and perhaps even be looking forward to - It's FOODIE FRIDAY! Today's feature is a restaurant that I've read so many reviews on, and I don't know what took me so long to try it out...Find out what picky little me thought of this highly rated eatery here!  Yesterday, as we were heading to my cousin's rental I caught sight of this beautiful steeple with an amazing blue sky and fluffy white cloud behind it. I just had to stop to take some pictures!  Once we arrived at my cousin's, we spent the rest of the day/night enjoying the company of other relatives who had just came up for the day. The kids played in the water kayaking, paddle boarding, tossing around a football, trying their luck at Marco Polo and other fun games!   We also enjoyed another lovely sunset while sitting on the edge dock dipping our toes in the water and Cosette took a beautiful picture to capture it!  Once the sun went down, we all sat around the fire pit, the kids enjoyed making and eating s'mores. I sat there wrapped up like a burrito, I wasn't taking any chances at being all chewed up by these insane little mosquitos! So what did happen is that something flew straight into my mouth and hit the back of my throat! All HELL broke loose at that point! I immediately jumped up, spit it out and my gag reflexes were set on high as I was nearly barfing and choking (making a fool of myself), I ran into the house and hovered over the toilet until I calmed down. My voice was hoarse for the remainder of the night. The other bit of excitement for the evening was Dominic slipping and falling into the water! He wasn't hurt and the water wasn't deep, but he did get his clothes all soaked! Today, we are going to FunSpot - the largest Arcade in the World! Then it'll be more water and family fun! Topping it off with hopefully another wonderful sunset, followed by a 10pm fireworks show at Weirs Beach! Until tomorrow, -T  |
