Tanya's Daily Scoop
NEXT TRIP DEPARTS IN: 21 DAYS
All about our up coming Road Trip..
I just realized that it's Tuesday. I had jumped ahead and thought it was already Wednesday! So now I guess I get an extra day this week. LOL
Well the good ol' internet/server has been giving me some issues this morning. Making it a pain in the you know what to get on here and start typing away.
I was so hyped yesterday that I went ahead and placed the 2019 cruise that I had mentioned on hold. Now I've just got to call back by Thursday to confirm the booking and the countdown will begin!!
The current trip that I am counting down for leaves in 3 weeks and is a road trip that will take us close to the Idaho / Canada border.
We are heading up to Idaho to meet up with the IPC (International Peace Choir) for their choir trip on which the kids are scheduled for a few different performances and to record a CD.
On the trip up we will be briefly visiting San Francisco and Oakland mostly for some vegan eats and treats...but just as I was typing this I thought to myself to check and see if the SF Giants would be at home and sure enough they will be! And this is how I work - lol
Anyhow we will be going to see the Cubs vs Giants - hmmm not sure who I'm gonna root for...
I like the Giants and Buster Posey is one of my favorite players, but I also like the Cubbies - I was so stoked when they won the 2016 MLB World Series that even bought myself a Cubs tee and cap.
This is gonna be a tough one folks!!
After San Francisco we are heading to Mendocino - ahhh the beautiful Mendocino. This will be the kids first visit and finally get to see and experience where I've been going and raving about for the past few years!
When we leave Mendocino we are heading to Eugene. Although there really isn't all too much that I'm interested in doing up there - they are home to the Cornbread Cafe and we are looking sooooo forward to getting a couple of meals from there!
Next up is Portland for a couple of nights, where vegan stops will be a priority and where we will be taking a side trip to Multnomah Falls with some friends from the choir (who will also be up there) and we plan on hiking up to the top!!
After that we will be meeting the majority of the travelers at the airport in Spokane and caravanning to Couer d'Alene for a week of fun times and plenty of singing.
Dave B. will meet us on the last weekend and once the choir portion of the trip has come to an end, we will be venturing off towards Boise for the night. For in the morning the event of the day is gonna be all about the Total Eclipse!!!
And then we start heading back to SoCal.
Boy oh boy the fun we will have!!
Until tomorrow guys,
-T
