Just Another Throwback Thursday Good day! Wow, is this week going fast for anyone else? I'm kinda blown away that this week is going so fast! Yesterday was a super day! Me, Mom and Irene went into NYC to see a matinee of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and it would be an understatement to say it was FABULOUS!!! With the sun shining by the time we exited the theatre, we excitedly met some of the cast members at the stage door and grabbed some autographs. Fun, fun, fun!! We headed for dinner, a few doors down from the theatre, at La Masseria. I will tell you all about this wonderful day on our Entertainment Review page on Monday. Today is a pretty mundane day. I am going to get my hair done. As you might know, I have hair extensions, which I LOVE! But, unfortunately, I cannot keep these in indefinitely, as it is not good for my hair. So, today, I will be removing them for the next two months, and will be sporting a shorter haired look for a while. But, happily, I will be returning my lovely locks to my hair in September!! This is the last picture of me with long hair before they are removed. Boo Hoo! I hope you enjoy today's Throwback Thursday story Left Behind in San Juan . As always, we love to hear from you with any comments you might want to add!! See you tomorrow with my short hair! -E | More fun at the lake!Another day at the lake. Everyone is having such a grand time! Yesterday we boated over to the boardwalk, it was almost like stepping back in time, such an old historic feel to it! We spent some time with the kids at the old penny arcade, where they had a blast and then we all strolled around the little strip for a bit before heading back to my cousin's rental on the lake. Once back I had to feed these starving little monsters (I was quite hungry too); and then before ya know it they were off and running! Back outside to have more fun! How wonderful it is to see all these kids completely off of their electronic gizmos and playing outside from dawn until dusk - like back in the good 'ol days! Dominic & Dave C. had both tried out paddle-boarding, working our their core muscles, and they both did an excellent job! Dominic had even pushed the limits by doing push-ups on the board...SHOWOFF! lol Plenty of water fun was also had, as there is a wonderful sandbar right in the backyard of this rental! Anyhow, once the sun began to set, we caught some amazing lighting and an absolutely gorgeous sunset! Then it was off on the boat again, Cosette even got a turn at being Captain! She was stoked!! A gang of cousins all headed out on the pontoon boat for a better view of a fireworks show that we spotted in the distance. So far, it's been a night of amazing lightening over the lake, and a night of pretty fireworks over the lake, not too sure that we'll find anything to top it tonight... Dominic was very happy to get his turn at driving the boat back to the house (I know he was jealous that his sister got to do it and he didn't). So that was our super awesome day, and guess what...we get to do it all over again today! The best part for me is knowing that these kids are making memories of a lifetime, that will always be with them to be treasured and shared for generations to come! That's really what it's all about! Warms my heart! -T |
