A lovely Sunday in the Southeland
My bad you guys! I never posted yesterday's blog. Ugh what a flake!
I'm really really not - I'm pretty much what you'd consider the farthest thing from a flake.
But sometimes things happen and like I always say...
In order to have stories for this blog I have to live my life and in order to live my life means that sometimes there will be those very random days where I don't get on in time or I write and forget to post/publish.
So let's get on to yesterday -
It was a rather RELAXED morning - these are very very rare!
We then went out to Mead's Green Door to grab a bite. Ever since trying this place out, I've turned Jet onto it as well and she, Andrew and Chaplin were all about joining us for a meal.
After filling our tum tums we took the kids back home (as they were not interested in the rest of my plans). And then Dave and I were off to go to the mall and then to a members event at the Huntington Gardens (my favorite local gardens).
The plan at the mall was to have the screen on my phone repaired (replace the Gorilla Glass cover), and while there I was also sold on a new sparkly case...OOOOOH SPARKLES!
I had also wanted to run into Urban Outfitters and try on a jumpsuit that I had my eye on and pick up a cute new Yankees cap that I had also saw.

But it didn't stop there...
Ya know there are those times when I go to the mall wanting to shop and I see nothing. A big fat ZERO. And then there are those times when I think I might need to wear blinders because I see so many things that I like...
And so I walked past a mannequin that I just couldn't walk by without a second look. And then this happened:

Then we were on our way to San Marino and to the Huntington Gardens. Where we strolled, had a bite and took plenty of pictures.

It was very nice to have the opportunity to take an evening stroll in the gardens and while there I had a GREAT IDEA (see below) pop into my head! And before leaving we were sure to take a gander at all of the lovelies at the Gardens Store. I definitely got some gift ideas!
And then managed to make a few Christmas gift purchases online while on the way home.
The idea I had was of course to do with TRAVEL and today is Travelin' Tuesday so what better a time to share it with you...
Ya see there is this post birthday cruise that I am about to book (for 2019) and like most if not all trips I like to have what I like to call "Bookends".
The cruise will take us to the Canary Islands - which btw may not currently be on my "wish list" of dream places to go - but it had been on that list for the longest time! Anyhoo back to the IDEA - either before or after the cruise we will go and revisit Portugal. Going to Sintra, Porto and back to the Algarve!
Now let me leave you with this last funny thing to ponder...
Do you know that before I ever watched cartoons as a child that I use to watch 'The Love Boat' and 'Fantasy Island'! Go figure!!!
