6 Las Vegas Activities for Elisa's October Trip
GOOD DAY TO YOU!
As many of you know, my younger daughter Kelsey is a huge fan of Disney World and all things Disney. She spends a great deal of her time researching things to do, new attractions, event schedules as well as places and things to eat in Disney. Most recently, she was doing reaching and video viewing about Disney Cruises. As she was doing so and sharing some of her newfound information, I suggested that she begin doing some research about fun and enjoyable things for us to do during our upcoming Fall trip to Las Vegas. Our trio will be joining my dear cousins for a celebration of Cosette's 18th Birthday in Sin City on Columbus Day weekend in October. Most people think about Las Vegas as a destinations for adults only, filled with decadent activities and gambling. And while this may be true, there are many things to be enjoyed for kids. Here are a few things we've added to our list:
1. THE EIFFEL TOWER EXPERIENCE - PARIS LAS VEGAS
The Eiffel Tower replica at Paris Las Vegas encompasses a fun experience this side of the Atlantic.
2. SHARK REEF AQUARIUM - MANDALAY BAY
One of the largest exhibits of its kind, The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay houses more than 2,000 species of aquatic life including sharks, exotic fish and more.
3. ADVENTUREDOME THEME PARK - CIRCUS CIRCUS LAS VEGAS HOTEL & CASINO
Adventuredome is a 5-acre indoor amusement park offering 25 rides and attractions including the Canyon Blaster roller coaster, rock climbing wall, 18-hole miniature golf course, a video game arcade, clown shows, Xtreme Zone, Pikes Pass, Virtual Reality Zone, Midway Games, and carnival-type games.
4. GONDOLA RIDE AT THE VENETIAN - THE VENETIAN HOTEL-CASINSO
Although my girls have taken an original gondola ride in Venice, Italy, this sounds like great fun!! These Las Vegas gondoliers sing Italian songs during the ride and I know me and my girls will have great fun.
5. BELLAGIO CONSERVATORY & BOTANICAL GARDENS - BELLAGIO LAS VEGAS HOTEL
One of the most photographed sites and best free attractions on the Las Vegas Strip, the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is on display in the Bellagio hotel lobby. The exhibits change every few months based on the season or intriguing theme. Each one features thousands of plants and flowers.
6. RED ROCK CANYON NATIONAL CONSERVATION AREA - LAS VEGAS
In the midst of the fun and excitement and even "fantasy" world that the Las Vegas Strip offers, me and the girls will be meeting an old friend who currently resides in Las Vegas for an afternoon of hiking, nature and a picnic at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Red Rock Canyon is located 17 miles west of the Las Vegas Strip and offers a 13-mile scenic drive, miles of hiking trails, rock climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking, road biking, picnic areas, nature observing and visitor center with indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a book store. So, my dear ones, these are some of the fun activities we have on our list. As you may have noticed, I have not even gotten to potential shows and good eats!! Those details I will be working on with Tanya and filling you in as soon as we have finalized our plans! Here's to a great Tuesday!! -Traveiln' Elisa xoxo |
